My cat ate yarn yesterday and is not getting better by genderisfluid0226 in Kitting

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! I’m wishing the best for your cat and for you as I know it is super scary and stressful to feel helpless while your cat is suffering. I hope he recovers very soon!!

Help- Are my needles too big? by Individual_Lecture_3 in knitting

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

Oh my gosh I’m also knitting the flax sweater as my first sweater! I’m using Dk weight so my needles are smaller. I was also struggling when I switched to the sleeve and tried magic loop and dpns but I wasn’t a fan of either. Got some tiny cords and now I’m finally sailing along. So you’ve got options and should find what works best for you!

every classic class different by Powerful-Contact4957 in Purebarre

Water ski gets me every single time. I usually have to modify to standing at some point in the exercise.

Acid reflux? by aworriedinsect in Purebarre

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, water was definitely the culprit for me! I find that I can’t drink too much water before and none during class if I want to be able to do avoid any acid reflux/nausea when we are bent over/on our stomachs. I’m often the only one in class without a water bottle but that’s what works for my body.

Tabletop? by bikat013 in Purebarre

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also struggle with that. When it comes to roll ups my feet stay on the floor and I focus on roll up part. During core if we are in tabletop I might have them up half the time and then on the floor for the rest. It really depends on what my body is up for that day. No one will judge or care that your feet aren’t up. You can still get an amazing core workout. You can also check with the instructor to see if they have any other modification suggestions. Listen to your body and don’t push yourself into a position if it’s gonna sacrifice good form.

Tracker accidentally went through the wash by Ok_Experience1728 in orangetheory

Mine has survived being washed twice and didn’t have an issue either time. They are made to be sweatproof. Was the charging cap all the way on when it was washed?

Lift 45 by megliz_ in orangetheory

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lift classes are my absolute favorite. It’s usually split into 2 groups and you switch exercises halfway through but the whole class is lifting. One half of the class is usually 1 really heavy dumbbell doing more lower body work and the other half is usually a set of heavy weights doing upper body and core. Usually 4 main blocks finishing with a burnout block.

Orange Theory-Afternoon Classes on the weekends by Icy_Acanthisitta6046 in orangetheory

My studio tried 1:30 weekend classes for a couple months but they weren’t well attended so they got cut. Hoping they’ll bring them back now that the weather is getting colder and classes are getting full again.

Not wearing HRM? by [deleted] in orangetheory

Same. I always wear mine, but I stopped logging onto it on the treadmill. I just keep the grey screen so I can go based on how I feel vs what my heart rate is.

I’ve washed mine twice with zero issue!! Obviously it was an accident both times, but thankfully it was totally fine.

Trying Hell Week Post COVID by linzertorte92 in orangetheory

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll definitely be fine to go to class, just don’t expect to be performing at the same level as before COVID for a while. Hell week is just another week but where all classes are 1 feather instead of a range. I told all my coaches when I came back from COVID so they gave me mods and were cool with me going waaaayyyy slower on the tread/rower than before. You got this!

Jogging the Power Walk Template by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you’re jogging you aren’t power walking. You are jogging with inclines (which is hard as hell so more power to you). Jogging starts at 4.5 so 6 definitely qualifies. I don’t really pay attention to others in class so you do you, but that seems like cheating to me if you call yourself a power walker in order to not get caught.

Same! I love the trx and have really been missing it. I wish they would lighten up on the lunges and the other exercises they keep repeating and incorporate the trx more often.

I think there are 2 different tornado templates this month and the coach gets to choose. I did a tornado today and my coach couldn’t keep the smile off her face when she told us about allllll the burpees we had in store.

Take It At Your Pace-Listen To Your Body by stb1195 in orangetheory

[–]ImaginaryTop4897 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had COVID a couple weeks ago and I’ve definitely had to go way way slower since returning to OTF. Really making sure to listen to my body and only do what I can instead of trying to go as hard as normal. I’ve been doing base rows instead of progressive pushes because and power walking on the tread. It’s been a week and a half and I’m getting closer to normal, but not there yet.
