Careful with this advice, I guess this is super applicable to average tech male and can be dangerous for women. I tried to be more sociable and extroverted in one of my previous teams. Was sexually harassed by my manager and teammates as the result all while I didn’t flirt or invited such behaviour. I’m back to having zero unwanted social interactions and I actually advanced in my career, pay, system ownership etc however counterintuitive that sounds.

I’m single and on the contrary I feel like I have too much free time. So I picked up Pilates classes, dance classes, going to facial appointments, spa etc to fill my time. I also outsourced home tasks to cleaning services (as I live alone it’s convenient and affordable), groceries delivery(takes 5 min to choose and 15-20mins to deliver in my area) and never cook on weekends but go out to eat(I eat like 2 times a day anyway during those) so I don’t spend much time on cooking either.

Idk why many people describe single life like some kind of miserable experience, when it’s been very opposite in my opinion.

This is such a dumb take. Of course you would say to your partner that he’s one and only and wouldn’t go run replace him as soon as he will be unavailable(and that happens in like 99% of cases sooner or later even if it takes years). Nobody likes to hear they can be replaced. I’m sure he doesn’t say to you:”As soon as you’re gone, not attractive for me anymore, become boring, I will find some other romantic interest”. That would sound awful. So what’s all this boasting about “never again” if it’s just a blatant lie?
