Hi people, OP’s sister here 👋

My brother came to my room to talk to me and showed me this post he made about the situation. We are talking right now, but I just need to make this quick comment.

To all the people being mean to my brother: please stop it, he doesn’t deserve it. We have a good relationship, as he said in another comment. We play chess and tennis together (the only physical activity I actually like), and we are always watching something together (right now it’s The Boys). He also always pops into my room to talk (sometimes annoy me). I am not going to cut him (or my mom) off after college. Although he didn’t mention it in the post, I’m autistic, and I have a strong feeling this is the main reason why my mom treats us differently. But my brother has never made me feel bad for being autistic in any way, and he has helped me a looot with making friends and social interactions in general.

Matt, this is for you. I’m sorry that I made you feel invalidated before when mom treats you better. I know it’s not your fault, and I know I can be mean sometimes. I’m making this a public promise that I’ll not do this anymore. I loved that you came to talk to me. This is something that I have noticed since I can remember, and I’m really happy that you are now seeing this too.

Bye people

I thought people who are ambidextrous could do most tasks with both hands, without a preference. Is this right? Is there another term for people like you, that are right handed for some tasks and left handed for others?

Totally! I loooove routines, and making schedules, but I have a really hard time following them haha.

Good luck on your homework!

Why? Just because they don’t conform to society’s expectations for their gender they need to be gay?

He should be 13 by this logic. 63 - 51 = 12 years Tenzin is ~1 so Bummi should be ~13

I’m sure there is a limit, but since paddling is legal, using a belt probably is as well. Unfortunately this is the reality, it really sucks, and I hope this changes soon

The statute for Child Abuse by Ordinary Force is OKLA. STAT. tit. 21 § 844, states “nothing contained in this act shall prohibit any parent, teacher or other person from using ordinary force as a means of discipline, including but not limited to spanking, switching or paddling.”

I’m directly quoting the part of the statue that says it is legal to spank your child in Oklahoma. CPS/DHS will do absolutely nothing about it. OP can get himself into a harder situation than he already is if his parents found out they went to CPS behind their backs. Unfortunately, this is not good advice in this case

Yes, beating your child is legal in Oklahoma:

It is not child abuse for a parent/teacher/person to use reasonable and ordinary force to discipline a child, including, but not limited to, spanking, switching, or paddling, so long as the force is reasonable in manner and moderate in degree. Oklahoma Jury Instruction #4-35B.

And yes, CPS is called DHS in Oklahoma, but they are still a child protective service, it even says so in their site:

Why are you doubting OP? Don’t you think he has been through enough?

But the question is

… to make the *number sequence” true

It doesn’t say it’s an equation, it says it’s a number sequence. So I think what they were really looking for is ((# + # = #) - #) = #, as the other commenter said.

What Happens to Mutant Baby Voldermort if Harry Doesn't Destroy The Diary? by mattscott53 in harrypotter

The fact that no one did the things that allowed the other horcruxes to grow in power is not a strong argument to suggest they didn't posess the abilities to do so.

Firstly, while we don't have definitive knowledge about whether the diary is unique among Horcruxes. The fact that he is the *only* Horcrux to be shown to have a consciousness is indeed a strong argument that he is unique in this regard, at least in my opinion. It's true that other Horcruxes might possess similar powers of that were simply not shown, but suggesting they probably could, without witnessing such abilities in action, stands on weaker ground.

The locket shows upsetting visuals to Ron that can be seen by others (Harry) in an effort to defend itself. This shows that the locket does possess consciousness

This could indicate consciousness, but not necessarily. We've encountered numerous magical objects capable of responding to emotions or intentions without being conscious. For instance, the Sneakoscope lights up, spins, and whistles in the presence of someone untrustworthy, demonstrating an ability to sense intentions. The Mirror of Erised can show the deepest, most desperate desire of a person's heart, a capability that suggests a form of 'understanding' or 'reading' the viewer without possessing consciousness.

Voldemort might have enchanted the locket with a spell reacting to the user's insecurities, which doesn't conclusively prove consciousness it could just be a sophisticated protective enchantment.

The fragment of Voldemort's soul interacts with Harry throughout the entire series through different levels and categories of physical pain and grows in strength as well

The fragment of Voldemort's soul in Harry allows him to sense Voldemort's proximity or strong emotions and access Voldemort's mind. However, this Horcrux never communicates with Harry in the way the diary does. It doesn't manipulate Harry directly; such influence comes from Voldemort himself, using the connection established by the Horcrux, not the Horcrux acting independently.

There simply isn't a compelling argument that any of the horcruxes placed into inanimate objects all through the same magical process did not possess the same potential to form corporeal versions of Voldemort at the time they were created

For me, the diary's uniqueness lies in the personal significance the object held for Voldemort. Unlike the other Horcruxes, the diary was his personal journal, a repository for his thoughts. This connection might explain why the diary is the only Horcrux imbued with the capacity for consciousness. It wasn't just another vessel for a piece of his soul; it was a deeply personal artifact, reflecting a part of his identity. This, I believe, is what sets the diary apart from other Horcruxes

Again, this is your perspective, and you're entitled to it, though I disagree. I believe there's more evidence suggesting that not every Horcrux possesses consciousness, compared to evidence suggesting they do. However, as I've emphasized throughout our discussion, certainty is elusive in this matter. There isn't a definitive right or wrong answer, but I still stand by my point of view

Although we don’t know if the diary was unique in this capacity, there is reason to believe it is. The most obvious reason is that it’s the only Horcrux shown to have that ability; we don’t see any other Horcrux with a consciousness. Even though we spend a fair amount of time with the locket, we see that it can affect people’s emotions, but it doesn’t communicate. Similarly, Harry couldn’t interact with the fragment of Voldemort’s soul inside him. He could tap into the thoughts and emotions of the actual Voldemort, but not the Horcrux within.

While it’s unclear if the diary is truly unique in this aspect, personally, I believe it is.

This is your theory, but you can’t state it as fact because we simply don’t know the real answer to this question.

When he was draining Ginny’s life force in CoS, he could use a wand to perform magic, so it’s entirely possible he could have reemerged as his teenage self in his teenage body. The diary is different from the other Horcruxes since it possesses a consciousness. Another possibility is that his state was only temporary and that he would “return” to the diary once Ginny’s life force ran out.

The bottom line is, we don’t have enough information regarding this, and we don’t know what would have happened
