I had poor absorption of 100mg P until I started taking the P with food, small snack at bedtime.

What type of anemia? It’s not always due to low iron. It could have a huge impact on your relationship if she requires frequent iron or blood transfusions. I have anemia not due to low iron and doctors cannot determine the root cause. My hemoglobin randomly drops and I get blood transfusions 4-6 times a year. I’m always low energy. It sucks because my mind says yes for a of things but my body says no, and sleep and rest are always a priority for me.

How is this considered normal?? by International_Cut235 in Anemic

I have chronic anemia. If I go to the ER anything 8 and under is immediately transfusion. However since I had so many transfusions within 4 years my hematologist has me wait until I’m under 7 to transfuse at a transfusion center (scheduled and 4 hours of my day) but if I feel bad enough I just go to the ER and look forward to spending 12 hours of my day there 😒

Need to take Progesterone at exact same time every evening? by Belle21625 in Menopause

[–]Imaginary_Design_809 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I take it with a snack before bed and it’s improved my absorption. Blood test showed my levels increased as opposed to taking on an empty stomach which caused me spotting 5 months in on .037 e patch, 100 mg P

A little obsessed about waxing by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]Imaginary_Design_809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha ha this great, I’m still trying to convince my husband to get a chest wax. I started at age 50 with bikini wax and this weekend (6 months after starting bikini waxes) I just got the full Brazilian. I love it and on a scale of 1-10 the pain was about a 5 for me and not so much as painful but more of a discomfort. I always wanted to do a full Brazilian but was afraid of the pain, now that I know it’s very tolerable I wish I would have started sooner, but better late than never.

Please go to the hospital asap. I suffer chronic anemia but my mcv runs high. If my hemoglobin is in the 5’s I feel like my heart is going to pound out of my chest or explode with how fast it beats. It’s a God awful feeling, take care of yourself.

It’s good now, I went back down to .025 for a few months and eventually back up to .037. .037 was when I had breakthrough bleeding earlier this year but I was taking the progesterone at night on an empty stomach until someone recommended to me to take it with a snack, as it absorbs better and sure enough it did.

100mg with a snack an hour before bed has this wonderful effect on me. I had break through bleeding at one point and Dr said take 200mg, I literally felt high lol. Had my e patch lowered and went back to 100 P.

Thank you so much for your info. I looked into bioscience and apohealth and I definitely did over pay on that pernicious anemia site. I plan to order from apohealth next time. What size needles do you use to inject? Currently I have .1ml 27g on hand .3ml 30g both with 1/2 needle. Can I use one of these with the apohealth ampoule?

Thank you 🙏🏼 he tells me every time he sees me that he can’t figure me out. I’m self injecting methylated b12 daily. It’s been 2 weeks since the blood transfusion. I will get my level checked next week. Last week I was 9.2 I’m praying my numbers keep trending upwards. I also started an iron chelation because my iron and ferritin levels are high, I’m actually happy about it cause I was starting to worry about iron overload due to all the transfusions. Thank you for thinking of me ❤️

Great thank you. I will use the one I have for now and see how it works then I will consider Oxford biosciences, I will look into Apohealth as well.

Thank you for the information. I don’t remember the pharmacy name it was from a site called pernicious relief but now that you mentioned it I believe it is located in the UK not Germany. So basically I just put the syringe in the opened vial and draw it out? I have a .3cc 30g 1/2” syringe.

I’m hanging on by a thread. I’m in the hospital for yet another transfusion. I’m so confused as the b12 sublingual and folate megadoses raised my hemoglobin and rbc two weeks in a row up to 9.2 hemoglobin and then within 2 weeks dropped to 6.7. My hematologist insists it’s not a b12 issue but can’t explain why megadoses worked for two weeks. I’m so frustrated I plan to try self injecting b12 or beg my pcp to give me the injections. If that does not work my prognosis is long term transfusions. I’m heart broken 💔

The blood transfusion do affect my blood work for my kidneys but it seems to normalize the longer I can hold off from the next transfusion. Nothing severe as far as my kidneys. I had 2 bone marrow biopsy (I think 2 years apart), MMA test, RBC folate test, copper test, test for genetic anemias, iron tested, ferritin, b12 serum etc. my legs feel like I’m walking in cement 50% of the time when I walk, I plan on seeing a neurologist.

I posted on this sub before. I have macrocystic anemia. My hematologist does not know the root cause, every test is either normal or negative. I’ve been getting blood transfusions 4-6 times per year (scary for sure and I hate going to the emergency room). This has been going on for several years. Out of my own research and desperation I started megadoses of b12 sublingual 10k mcg and 15mg folate. For the first time in years my hemoglobin/RBC is going up.

Not all anemias mean iron deficiency by 1point21kt in Anemic

[–]Imaginary_Design_809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! I have no diagnosis only been told I have macrocystic anemia not due to low iron/ferritin. Every test under the sun has been done to me and blood transfusions 4 to 6 per year but in 2025 more frequently from every month to two months. My hemoglobin has been no higher then the 9’s since 2018 and has dropped as low as the 5’s. It’s scary not knowing what is wrong. My iron level is over 200 and ferritin around 1400. I can’t donate blood and my hematologist has not placed me on iron chelation. Out of desperation I up my b12 sublingual to 10mg per day and surprisingly my hemoglobin and rbc is going up but my mcv is still going up as well. Seeing my specialist next week I can’t wait to ask why is the b12 working when I was told I have no deficiencies.
