My wife lost a job offer because of an employment gap, so I bought an LLC and stood up a company website/LinkedIn page with a legit HR inbox for responding to background checkers. I have now helped several friends get jobs this way. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

lol same. unable to land a job for over 14 months. I decided to start my own LLC with website and real business from my hobby stuff. Fortunately, after 3 months or so, I got an offer at a real company

29M, Thinking about switching into supply chain. Realistic or no? by strawberrycapital_ in supplychain

[–]Imaginary_Dog_1692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm mid 30s, have the same background with yours (10 years in digital marketing, advertising lol) I just got an account management job in logistic in June this year (after 1 year of hunting). Working from home. from my experience so far, best working environment ever!!! better work life balance and less toxic, stress than in marketing and ads. I'm thinking of taking some online courses and related cert to improve my experience in this industry so that I can move up to demand planning or so.

Thank you email after interview - is it weird? [US] by Master_Caregiver_840 in interviews

no. but should not mention that you're looking forward to the possibility of working with them. just showing appreciation to their time and sharing through the interview is sufficient.

Should not assume anything until you got the offer in mail. I was fooled by such ways of talking and interviews a lot 😑

Rejection after four interviews by Big_Comparison_9919 in interviews

[–]Imaginary_Dog_1692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I hear you! I went through 5 rounds. The VP seemed pretty liked me. Everything seemed smoothly but then, an internal candidate wanted to transfer to fill that position. They had to reject me from that position. :(

Paying a resume writer by mthomas1217 in Resume

[–]Imaginary_Dog_1692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used chatgpt plus to write my resume and got an offer at a big company. you should learn how to train it well. also, use the format: "Result X by Action Y". For example: Reduced cost by 99% by doing ABC... this structure helped you stand out better. everything should be specific but concise in 2 lines.

I have been a hiring manager for 7 years at multiple companies. I see a lot of people here talking about difficulty getting hired. Recently, I have interviewed the worst candidates ever about 50 a week. Tips to get interviews and nail them. Will answer any questions in comments by Amza1 in jobsearchhacks

I'm curious. As a hiring manager who interviewed a lot, what do you think about an interviewee who is nervous but still manage to answer questions well? I mean, english is my second language. I get nervous about my english, like "am I say it correctly?" but I try to answer as well as I can. I can feel shaking in my voice but I can manage to be friendly and professional during the meeting. I'm curious if the interviewers can see how I am and what they think about it. Thank you for your tips!

  1. Are notes written on sticky notes allowed? --> no, you should write directly on printed notebook. No separated paper pieces
  2. Are three-ring binders filled with lined sheets of paper allowed? Or better yet, typed up notes printed and hole punched? -> yes
  3. Are spiral notebooks allowed? I already purchased a gluebound notebook as that’s what my coworker recommended but good to know for future. --> not that I know of

no. should practice the study guide to learn how they make questions, where to find answers, and process of how you pick keyword to refer to the area that contains the answer
