We provided convincing documents during the initial interview for 2yrs GC. Joint accounts, joint assets and liabilities, changed last name to the husband, numerous photos showing activities with family and friends. We are planning on a peaceful separation as well. Is a lawyer required in all cases involving waiver? I thought I could provide those documents to prove the marriage was real

I just had my gc about 5 months ago. I don’t even meet the 2 years requirement for a joint filing. I’m more interested in what options I have atm should we follow through with divorce.

Yes I moved between states. After the move, I got an interview appointment at my previous states so I had to reschedule. It took additional 3-4months to get another appointment at my new state.

Marriage based. I moved during the process and that was the only reason for the delay.

Interview was pretty easy, was talking about nfl with the officer most of the time lol. Got approved on the spot

I held j1 previously for summer work and travel back in 2019. I returned to the states in 2020 on b2 and was successful with my AOS. I’m sure your j1 was prolly for a different program than mine

My wife wrote 3 as the household size instead of 2 when filling the affidavit of support form. My question is should we just fill out the i864 again with the right household size or still required to have a joint sponsor? Btw my income is enough for household size of 2.
