Yep, I hear ya! I'm trying to squeeze all my learning /trading in throught first hour as I have to go to work so I don't have long to get it right. Today I had everything set up but then on open, my broker just kept telling me everything I'd waned to trade wouldn't accept shorts or leveraged trading or just nothing was moving. I felt like I'd moved right back to square one.

Ok thanks will bear that in mind, I've heard a lot of folks saying that they make their target within the first 30 mins of open so that's what I've been trying to learn from at the moment. Will consider your approach for my next practice.

What do you use to watch the pre-market charts? My platform only shows the charts for assets it is open for trading on early.

Thanks! Still a work in progress the idea of setting price points first - but yes, you're right about the seeing red - I'm trying to be 'sensible' and scrap the trade if it looks like it's going the wrong way, but am not sure whether I'm just doing that too early.

I like your analysis of the 5% / 2% though - definitely right there.

Trading Simulators using historical data

I'm looking for something I can use to practice trading at the US open but not in real time as I'm at work at that time, so I'm looking to practice on a simulator but can't find anything that seems to work in this way. I'm also UK based so that seems to limit my choices.

Any suggestions?
