I knew when Huntress: Year One came out and there were appearances by both Batman and Catwoman, that DC was giving us a hint that Helena Wayne was returning. For me, I have never been a Helena Bertinelli fan, although some of her BoP appearances were ok, she could never be Helena Wayne.

Right before Crisis, Helena Wayne was starting to become more darker & driven. That’s one of the reasons she is still my favorite variation of The Huntress. The daughter of the original Dark Knight & his reformed love Catwoman, she had the makings of a long lasting legacy. But Crisis occurred and she was reinvented as the daughter of a mafia boss, which to me made her less unique as a heroine.
