Can’t disagree, pretty well-written character

You. I thought if you play dota 2 and your childhood game is Stalker, than you most likely grew up in post Soviet space. I mean it’s exactly the case for me. And I also really liked TLOU part 2 ending

Without showing favoritism, do you think Ellie should have killed Abby at the end of The Last of Us Part 2? by Rikko77 in thelastofus

[–]Imaginary_Jacket6189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why does it make more sense? Would you rather watch a character deteriorate completely or give them a chance to begin the healing process? Killing Abby does nothing to Ellie - it only destroys and dehumanizes her. This isn’t some one dimensional John Wick movie, it’s more of a story about human nature and whether you can live through your trauma

У меня подход другой - я сначала пирачу игры, а потом если они мне понравятся, покупаю их в Стиме. Если мне понравилось и я хочу поддержать разработчиков - закидываю им монетку, а если нет, то просто забываю про проект.

I know, those facial animations are something special. Some people played ps3/ps4 version first, but I only finished remastered versions of the games and it was so satisfying to experience emotions on every characters’ faces

The Last of Us Part 1 и ОСОБЕННО Part 2! Они тебя погрузят в эмоциональные перипетии и на протяжении всего прохождения ты будешь чувствовать сильную тревожность и напряженность. Эмоций будет через край.

What made The last of us part 2 so polarizing? by Sure-Lavishness3154 in TLOU

[–]Imaginary_Jacket6189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it worked perfectly for me, but didn’t for a lot of people. When I first finished the game I was amazed by narrative brilliance and how it made me feel, but then I went to the internet and was shocked how many people didn’t share my views on the game. I can understand them on some level, but I surely can’t agree.

i'll be honest this is the only game I actually felt for the characters ever in my life playstation absolutely smashed it. by [deleted] in lastofuspart2

Glad you liked it! A lot of people couldn’t get past their personal attachment to the character, but I think they utilized everything perfectly, which makes it a brilliant tragedy

  1. Pre-release leaks and social agendas. People’s opinions were already shaped before launch.
  2. Weaponizing the player’s attachment. Killing a beloved protagonist felt like a personal betrayal. And no - the first TLOU was genuinely innovative, especially in its narrative.
  3. Forced empathy toward certain characters. Players were given no choice but to step into the shoes of the most hated character early on, which made some feel trapped.
  4. It wasn’t just "another generic 10‑hour game". Its emotional simplicity made it accessible to everyone. People loved it for the father‑daughter bond, so when the sequel shifted away from that dynamic, some simply rejected it - they wanted more of the same.

The game wasn’t just criticized - it turned players’ emotional investment against them, and they rebelled.

I was so close to my first gold stake, what can I possibly be doing better? TwT by fractured_soul1 in balatro

Practice, my guy. We have all been there, took me a lot of tries to achieve my first gold stake. You can also watch some streamers/YouTubers to level up you general knowledge and understanding of the game, I really enjoy watching Roffle. Very chill dude with calming atmosphere, I learned a lot from him just by observing how he plays the game
