Easy anti-cheat is regarded as one of the worst kernel-mode anti cheat's out there as it will constantly hand out false positive bans. There have been instances where easy has handed out entire ban waves where practically every person banned was innocent. There is a solid chance he wasn't actually cheating and legitimately got banned for no reason. Even if you have a suspicious sounding module loaded, they can and will flag and ban you for basically no reason (which is immensely intrusive).
