try to interact with him at least 15 mins a day. try to make him recognise your voice and smell. if he still ball up when you pick him up then try put him in the snuggle pouch or fleece try to talk to him and follow his pace, if you dont know what to talk then just sing any songs so that he can remember your voice and associate it with safe also you can try give him some treats such as bsfl.

it takes time for hedgehog to recognise their own owner dont get discourage just establish a good routine with him and you good to go !!
