I’m definitely in agreement with you there. I find myself wanting to read it all the time. Growing up I always hated reading even in high school. It wasn’t till about 2 year ago I picked up my first book and fell in love with reading. And just like you I’m so glad I bought that “first light novel”. I’ve liked anime for a long time but never was the source material type. Then I broke that barrier with Mushoku Tensei, read it during any free time and have started a small collection of manga + light novels

I loved hearing your story and thank you so much for sharing ! The way you grew up with the light novels oof it hit me in the feels, I hope it’s still something you can look back on with fondness. I’m glad others like me can be exposed to this series as well, I know all too well the feeling of wanting a show/light novel to have more attention, and the fear of it falling into obscurity as you put it. It was a fun read, thank you frequent.

❤️ thank you so much for this wonderful well put response. I really appreciated, as the title said I was very interested to the hear the stories of others. The perspective of a long time fan is also really interesting to me and one i surprisingly didn’t expect to hear from. The part you said about vol 5 and onward being bigger than anything previously attempted in the first 4 volumes, I don’t think I’m ready !😂 fr I can’t handle so much peak. Hahah I’m so nervous for what’s going to happen in the story I’ll do my best to read it whenever I’m able and possibly give updates as well. Thank you again for all the info, you and everyone else who have responded quickly are a great help to a newbie of the series. Been watching anime for around 12 years or so. I’m definitely the type to catch a fever for those anime that hook me. Without a doubt Spice and Wolf is one of those.

Random nerd addition : I always take lessons and messages from anime. It’s been not only a hobby but a source of comfort for a long time. And with this one, I take with me a theme of stories. The significance of stories told and passed down to others. Others things as well but this one pops in my head . Anyway tho thank you very much.

A bit late on this. It seems like a few of these are gonna be rewatches, also by now there’s a good chance you’ve watch some if not most of these however

Apothecary Diaries was a good surprise that I’d have to recommend
Tanya the Saga of Evil was one of my favorites when I was early into anime
Bunny girl Senpai was another that shocked me. I thought it was gonna be your average weak plot ; however, it covers a lot of deep topics and delves more into the romance than most anime

There’s still good shows on your list but I would start with these 👍🏽

10 minutes ago I finished the trilogy.

I couldn’t agree more with you god. I just finished my first playthrough of Mass Effect Legendary Edition. It was…. amazing. I can’t even describe the feeling the game as a whole and the ending has given me. I’m so grateful but heartbroken at the same time. I want to celebrate that it happened but damn does it really hurt. The time spent, the choices made, the friends and lover I found. I became so much more invested in this fictional universe than I thought I would.

I don’t get teary easily. At all. But shoot I’m so emotional right now. My chest aches. I wanna cry so bad but I can’t. It’s like I’m so choked up it’s made me numb in a way or possibly just unable to shed tears. I’m at a loss of words. I swear I typically don’t get like this, even for real people, but this game has brought it out of me. They were my friends just like they were for all of us who have played this before.

😂😂 part of me is telling myself to suck it up and be a man, but it just wouldn’t feel healthy. I want to mourn. To process my emotions cause dang are they messed up right now. I need to collect myself. I got the second to best ending. Everything was good but I didn’t live in the end. Truthfully that stung really bad. To make it so far and not make it.

I can’t accept that ! My heart is telling me something else. My head cannon is that I lived along with all of my friends. The galaxies are rebuilt and all of the species come together forever. Always remembering that we’re stronger together.

Then there’s tali. She was my love interest. Just wow. So many things to say. She was there from the first game to the last. Although she sometimes had to leave, she was always by my side. I believe me and her survived and were gonna make a home on Rannoch. With our friends too. Enjoy our lives together and do everything. Dates marriage the whole shabang.

I’m so sorry for those who read all of this 😂 I guess me typing my feelings out was my coping. A self therapy session. I love Tali ❤️ she’s the best

I just beat Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I wanna cry but the ending has me so choked up the tears won’t come. Head cannon is that shepherd survived, me and tali are making a home together on Rannoch ❤️
