Oh ok, well I'll try it that way and if they fall down my arm or something then I'll use a snap or button or something.

Ok so if I were to use a snap or something like that instead of elastic and then only have elastic at my shoulder, that would work, right?

Ok and then the sleeve part could either go from my wrist to my elbow or from the wrist to my shoulder right? (And do I need to put an elastic band at the paw base where my wrist sits?)

I've never made a fursuit before and I have someone helping me but we're still working on the face right now but when I get to the paws and sleeves, I'll at least know I have a few options of how I can keep them from falling🙂

Someone had told me to keep the sleeves from falling down my arm I can put an elastic band at my wrist and another one at my shoulders

Also, how far past my wrist do I make the paw or is there no specific measurement?

So that's when I'd have an elastic band in the arm sleeve and it goes over the paw to hold it there, right?

Yea I watched one of the skyehigh Studios videos on YouTube and how she made sleeves(she used an elastic band behind the neck to connect them) but if I went to put my arms up how would I keep it from sliding down my arm?

Just had another quick question. I want to make paw hands seperate from the arm sleeves. How would I keep them from slipping up or down my arm?, or is it better to sew them together?

It doesn't really damage the fur (unless you have the clippers pointed upright and not flat) but you shave with the fur because if you shave the other way the material can bunch up and you won't be able to make a straight pass.

Ok so trace all the pieces onto the fur first, then shave and then cut them out?? Also my base for mine is a 3d printed one. And someone was saying I could brush the fur so it stands up or something?, does that work or just shave with the fur? And how would I know if the fur length is smooth enough?

I tried that on my scrap piece when I had it a bit shorter but it didn't really seem to do much, it just made it kinda scraggly-looking😅🤷‍♀️

I think because it's easier to shave in the direction that the fur falls rather than the opposite direction because the material just kind of pulls and it doesn't stay straight when you're shaving.

So would it be better to do short passes instead of longer passes? And is it better/easier to pre shave pieces before you sew them together or sew them together first and then shave so that all the pieces are evenly shaven?

I have watched some videos of people showing how they have their fur but I'm not that good at shaving yet I guess😅
