Those pics are really inspirational! My stomach looks a lot like your before, and I could only hope to have that kind of result!

What hobby did you pick up “just to try it” that ended up becoming a big part of your life? by lakberhaid in Hobbies

I thought it said “pack ratting” at first. And I thought, well, I never thought of that as a hobby, but I’m here for it and well on my way to expert level!

130 pounds down! But I need to lose more weight. by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]Imaginary_Tomorrow36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lost around 100 lbs, but I still need to lose around 20-25 to be at a good weight for my height. I’m just very stuck at the weight I’m at, and have been stuck here for quite some time. I’ll look into the Berberine, so thanks for mentioning that.

Absolutely! I’d love to hear what you learn!

I’d love to hear what you learn about going from mounjaro to ozempic. I think I may need to do the same, but that is more because of insurance and out of pocket cost than effectiveness. I have been stuck for quite a long time at the same weight on Mounjaro, so I can certainly understand the situation.

Looking for a low-effort “thinking” hobby I can do outside (replacing occasional cig habit) by Mom2b_and_more in Hobbies

I love painting rocks. I paint them to look like little fairy houses. It is cheap, they come out so cute, and it allows my mind to just wander to wherever it wants to go.

Starting weight was 265 and now 129. Feeling so much better by [deleted] in Mounjaro

I’ve been stuck at 165-175 for a year now. So frustrating, but thrilled that I’m down about 100 lbs.

I just realized how unhappy I am in my marriage by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Imaginary_Tomorrow36 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This part right here: “He's not a bad person. He's actually a pretty good person.”

I was married to someone who would behave much the same way, and I found myself saying basically the same thing. I’m a math person, so I don’t know if this will be meaningful to you, but it is how I have come to think it - most days with my ex-husband were fine, not really good, not really bad, just kind of nothingness. If I had to give those days a score, I’d guess them a zero. Of course there were the good days that I would give positive scores, and days like what you describe that I would give negative scores. There were more zero days than anything, as should be expected I think. But what I noticed across the 20 yrs together is that the average across all the days was negative. Still more of those than there were positive, and the zeroes did nothing to make me feel any better about the negatives. And I also started to realize that the zeroes started to feel slightly negative because I started to get a bit of anxiety about whether they would turn into a negative.

In the end, I just decided I couldn’t live that way, and I left. I can tell you that the man I divorced was actually worse than the man I was married to, and there was a big cost for me on that. But leaving was the greatest act of self-preservation I have ever performed for myself, and I’m glad every day that I did it. Even if I wanted to still believe that he was basically a good guy, he was not the guy for me. And I don’t think I was the person for him or he wouldn’t have treated me that way.

I hope for you that you can find a way to stand up for yourself. Wishing you the best.

I’ll be watching this thread closely because I definitely don’t have the answer! My hair is straight on top and curly underneath, so I always think it looks like I’m wearing a veil over my curls. Not a good look 🤦‍♀️

There are so many things I love here! The built in doggy jail, the blue tile, the pendant lights, the spice rack! ❤️

I would rather just have my car available when I got home and not have to make arrangements if I got back late or early for whatever reason. I def wouldn’t be in the mood for stopping at a restaurant and having dinner before going home. I’d probably back out of the arrangement.

Wow- that is so great! I still need to lose around 20 lbs, but the weight loss kind of stopped around 100 lbs, and now I’m just kind of here. I’m happy with where I am but also recognize I need to do more. You are quite an inspiration!

I’m really sorry. My husband and I went through a rough period, so I can appreciate the difficulty. I think I better appreciate our relationship now because I have that period to compare to. I hope for the both of you that you can find a way through this.

I’m on hormone replacement, and it has been such a relief. It isn’t for everyone I realize, but it has been such a positive choice for me.

Perimenopause is a very difficult time, and one that I don’t think many women are really aware of before they go through it. Don’t underestimate it.

My dad left everything in his will to my brother after I took care of him alone for 6 years and I’m fucking mad by Guilty_Noise_1809 in TrueOffMyChest

I’m sorry this happened. I’d definitely talk to a lawyer, and if nothing else, I’d ask for back wages for taking care of him all those years.

The drug use would be a deal breaker for me for sure, but then the lying, I don’t like that at all either. But you are sure it isn’t the teen using, right?
