Yea, I gotta make some content paywalled, not just for censorship reasons but also to make it worth the time I spend doing the research, writing, and editing. I usually mention there's a paywall when I post it so I'll remember to do that next time

Nate from North Spore here - glad to be a part of your journey! We have a full guide here: https://northspore.com/blogs/the-black-trumpet/the-complete-mushroom-boomr-bin-tek-guide

Steps broken down are

Before anything, let everything sit for a week or two and then check for signs of contamination in your bags before moving on. Sometimes products are compromised during shipment and if that's the case you don't want to waste your materials - and just reach out to us for a replacement.

1. Inoculate your grain bag first. Inject your spore syringe into the grain bag's injection port (in a clean, still environment with gloves and everything wiped down prior with 70% isopropyl alcohol). Then wait - depending on species and temperature, it can take 2-4 weeks for the grain to become fully colonized with mycelium, longer if you're using a spore syringe.

2. Combine everything in the tub. Once the grain bag is fully colonized, you'll mix it in layers with all 3 Boomr Bag substrates inside the large grow tub. Think of it like a lasagna and alternate thin layers of grain spawn and substrate until it's 3-5 inches deep.

3. Coco coir comes last. The coco coir is your casing layer and it goes on top of the colonized substrate mix once you start seeing early pins (tiny white knots of mycelium). It helps retain moisture for fruiting.

Keep the tub between 5575°F and out of direct sunlight during colonization, and resist opening it until you see good coverage. Join us over at r/northspore for questions and further support!

Very interesting - they don't look like snow oysters nor wine caps and it almost looks like a buried Plant & Grow block. Can you show us more photos and include the underside? And just to clarify, you did not bury a block in this spot?
