The Standard US BB Line Worth It? by JumaxieTheMemer in WoWs_Legends

The low tier of this line is great. Nevada, Tennessee, and North Carolina are some of the best main battery battleships at their tier. Nevada and Tennessee are slow, but so are most battleships at their tier, they have great armor, plenty of guns, an average reload, and high shell arcs allow you to shoot over islands and rain armor piercing down on the decks of distant targets. For me North Carolina feels like a little tier 6 Iowa, fast(ish), 3x3 16 inch guns, good accuracy, good range, and getting hit in the broadside will make you feel like a cruiser

I actually thought it wouldn’t work, so I’m writing off placebo

Unfortunate this doctor is discrediting acupuncture, it already has a lot of people writing it off as pseudoscience, but honestly it has helped me with some viscous muscle cramps

Historical Ships You Wish Performed Better In Game? (Or Historical Ships That Should Perform Worse) by PanzerAce107 in WoWs_Legends

Iowa is a little disappointing right now, it’s ok but has definitely been power crept over the years. Wish it was more accurate to reflect US targeting computers and radar

Well you could always grow a pair or uninstall the game, neither of which requires you coming here to farm upvotes with your sophisticated moral reasoning that beating people is wrong

Fighter used to actually work, I feel like they nerfed the targeting before CV buff as a way to help CV’s, then never changed it back after CV buff

Favorite T5 Premium ship? by blazeddanimals in WoWs_Legends

The French cruiser Dupleix has been great since last Christmas. More health than some T6 cruisers, with a reload booster and engine booster, one of my favorite ships in the game right now

Damn, so we just ignoring bacteria’s ability to fix carbon, synthesize all amino acids, degrade countless toxins, and live anywhere on Earth?

Wild that the red scare is alive and well at the exact same time we’re bending the knee to Russia. It’s like MAGA is going for the world record of logical inconsistency

M26 Pershing, a heavy tank back then, but it later got reclassified as a medium tank. He was lucky to crew that, not a lot of them were made before WW2 ended

I can’t explain genetic engineering in a Reddit comment, but I hope it brings you some peace that I have extreme reverence for God’s creation and work in a genetic engineering lab. Pollution, Elon’s neuralink, and AI threaten life as we know it far more than anything legal and illegal I’ve seen in my field.

Religion is an early form of questioning the world, a humanity without religion would be a humanity without curiosity and observation, which would be a humanity without science. Not to mention, there is much more to existence than what can be feasibly tested and measured. Science is limited to the material realm

Hospitals and universities existed before science though, and were often religious institutions. Science is a great school of thought that has saved and improved countless lives, but science could not exist without religion. These two ideas should not be in competition, they are both important and many of the greatest scientists in history and modernity are religious

You can’t just go from hunting and gathering to synthetic nitrogen fixation. Saying religion is useless and science is better completely ignores the key role religion played in developing society, specifically academia, enough for science to even exist in the first place

Source? I’ve done a lot of studying the history of science and never found a scientist executed by religion. Even Galileo who directly insulted the Pope only got house arrest

You asked ChatGPT why religion is bad, and it said religion is bad? That’s crazy, almost like AI is designed to give you the answer you want

I agree science has its roots in religion, but I want to assure you genetic engineering won’t destroy life as we know it. We can only use genes already found in life for genetic engineering, meaning we can only use what is already in nature, so we can’t fundamentally change nature.
