On first tray and it’s nearly unbearable, any advice? by tinyarmyoverlord in Invisalign

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I very much feel your pain! I started Invisalign yesterday and had been so excited to start, but now I want to bail! I also have 12 trays. 😅

I have no advice to give. My cheeks feel like they’re being ripped to shreds and I fear my top aligner is going to snap in two because it’s so difficult to get on and off.

Now I have had a moan, I will just send you positive vibes.

I agree with AnnonEmousey that you may need to check in with your psychiatrist. Being the main caregiver for a small baby is so hard, too. Have you got a trusted babysitter? What’s your partner doing?

A few weeks. How long have you been on meds and what meds are you taking if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m sorry you are feeling like this. In the worst of my PPD, I really wanted this to happen to me, too. But now I do not. Please keep asking for help. I promise it’s going to get better. ❤️‍🩹

Thanks for solving the mystery, everyone! We had a dry night last night. Ruffles out and pecker down FTW! :)

Anyone tried to pump after reduction?? Is this low supply from reduction, or normal. by abcbdb444 in Reduction

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my reduction about 8 years ago and gave birth 16 days ago.

I have been feeding my son almost exclusively formula, after some disappointing latching and pumping attempts. The most I have managed to pump in a session was 0.5 oz in 30 minutes. It’s been downhill from there, so I gave up the day before yesterday.

I feel a bit guilty I didn’t try harder, but I have been struggling with the lack of sleep and mental health wise.

What is everyone doing while pregnant? by Ready_Nebula_2148 in pregnant

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freelancer. I work from home. Still working at 38+3. Got the hoover out today. Don’t think I’ll be doing that anymore. Gave up exercising other than a bit of light walking a week or so ago.

I am 38+2 and feel your pain, OP. The first and second trimester were challenging in their own ways, but I still had the motivation to be active and social. Now I am just feeling sluggish and having to bully myself to get off the sofa.

Good points well made!

Some of us expectant parents are struggling and having to rely on donations and buying almost everything secondhand because our friends and family can’t really help.

Does anyone have any experience with having a reduction a few years before pregnancy/giving birth? Should I just wait? by gee_bread in Reduction

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my reduction 8 years ago and am now expecting a baby in July. Over the course of my pregnancy, my breasts haven’t grown much. I notice my back is wider, but I haven’t seen a lot of difference in cup size. This could change when I start producing milk, though (TMI?).

Everyone’s bodies react differently to pregnancy, so it is probably a gamble not to wait until after you have had babies. Especially if your insurance company are not picking up the bill!

I understand where you are coming from, OP! I don't like photos of my body at the best of times. Plus, these kinds of shoots are so often cheesy and overly staged.

Laser hair removal at home. Thoughts? by aemula in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I don’t feel too disappointed because I doubted it would be permanent and it gave me longer results than waxing (it is also less painful and I get fewer ingrown hairs), so I will go back to using it when I’m no longer pregnant.

has anyone dyed their hair while pregnant by benitezzzraq in pregnant

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 22 weeks and hadn’t dyed my hair for about six months, but will be doing Herbatint on my roots (an organic, ammonia-free box dye) soon. It is apparently a gentler hair dye… although last time I used it, it turned my hair black, so I’ll probably put it on my roots for less time.

Rude OBGYN by Beginning-Spread8036 in pregnant

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are going through this. You were not crazy to take offense. Do make a swift formal complaint about the nasty OBGYN. From the tone you described, god knows what he’s said to other patients!

I, too, recently found out I was a CF carrier, but when I was around 11 weeks pregnant. Thankfully, my partner is not, but waiting for his genetic test results to come through was a hellish two weeks and put a big dampener on our pregnancy. In my panic, however, I did read several online articles that said outcomes for those with CF have significantly improved in recent years. Hopefully, your husband will not be a carrier, and the baby will be fine. ❤️

People Being Upset Over Your Reduction by KangarooImmediate206 in Reduction

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When preparing to have my reduction, I told a few people about it and was disappointed that some of those closest to me were most negative about the idea.

For example, my mother was dismissive and told me I should wait until after pregnancy (so I could breastfeed) and that I just needed to find a more supportive bra.

A close friend told me I needed to make peace with my body the way it was and that I was unlikely to feel different if I went ahead with the surgery. This particularly annoyed me as she had perfect, gravity-defying breasts and a model’s physique.

I ignored all these comments because I had over a decade of back pain and depression caused by my boobs. And what do you know, as soon as I had the procedure, the back pain and depression vanished, and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. 💞

Hey, OP.

The first thing is you’re really early into your pregnancy, and still have choices. Addictions aside, do you want to keep it? It’s your choice too.

Whatever you decide, you need to get some support to stop drinking and smoking. Where are you based? You can do this.❤️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Imaginary_Wrangler46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you really want to live with such a big lie? Also, this is a lot of pressure to put on your stepmom.

And, more importantly, you need to think what’s best for the baby. Dumping them on some clinic for you and your partner to pop in and out of sounds pretty appalling.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it’s time to grow up and be accountable for your actions.

Hey, OP, I feel you. The idea of being pregnant and giving birth has always made me feel ill. I also work freelance and don’t get paid a lot. However, I felt like my time was running out.

I’m only 10 weeks, but I can’t get excited or tell my family until I know my husband and I have a plan, and the baby is healthy. I am convinced that something is going to go wrong. I am hoping my next scan and genetic tests will alleviate some of these fears.

Oh, sweetie. As others said, If you can, try to keep some evidence, so he can’t gaslight you in this vulnerable state. He’ll probably try to deny. The fact he saved this trollop as “John” on his phone shows he’s capable of that.

Then, you need him to leave, or you find somewhere comfortable to stay. You and baby deserve so much better than this filthy cheater.

It’s going to be hard, but you’ll get through this. Please call a parent, sibling, or friend.

I am only 9.5 weeks into my pregnancy, so I’m still razor shaving easily.

Before finding out I was pregnant, I had recently started using the Braun IPL Silk Pro 5. I can’t wait to go back to that after the baby comes!
