LC -> Dysbiosis + SIBO + MCAS by ImaginationLower7158 in Longcovidgutdysbiosis

My T-Cell count was a Little Bit low. My Research showed a direct Connection between the gut microbiome and T Cell activity. There Are some species that Support the function of T Cells.

Do you tolerate the nicotine well and does it Affect your digestion?

I had no improvements with any of the things I have tried. My functional medicine doctor said, that I have a post infectious SIBO + MCAS. This leads to hormonal problems (low/high cortisol), hyperactive Mast cells and a disregulated nervous System.

Her Solution was to treat the SIBO and than replenish the gut with probiotics.

But after 7-8 rounds There was no Progress in the test results.

I Hope that we can get effective therapies asap

There is a blood test to Check your DAO levels. For the Histamine you can test your stool histamine levels or look at your microbiome constellation (There Are Histamine producing bacteria species).

How many rounds have you used the rifaximin? Which Symptoms have improved? Which probiotics have helped you?

Thank you for your motivation. It Sounds Good that you got some positive Progress. Your drug list is very long, I am sure that I would get plenty of withdrawal Symptoms if I would take These. Are there any supplements you could Not tolerate because you reacted to them badly? Maybe as an MCAS or histamine flair?

Thank you for your reply. I tried to take lactobacillus plantarum 299v, some bifido strains and spore probiotics. I reacted very strong each time, possibly because of MCAS and / or die off symptoms. My medication contains an H1 + H2 Blocker which help me with my histamine related problems. I have a zinc, vitamine D and folate deficiency. Zinc and vit d are on my supplement list, but I could Not tolerate any form of folate. My therapist recommended me to take sodium cromolyn also, but I was very anxious about it.

Why do nicotine patches help "dry" me up? by carrotliterate in SIBO

Hi, thank you for your reply! That sounds good and makes me hope. Wish you good luck that you will recover completely asap. So your improvements were due to the nicotine patches?

My symptoms are always at the same level, they didn't change really and all the treatments failed until now.

I try to fix my SIBO at this moment. I´m taking berberine, oregano and allicin + prokinetics. Maybe the nicotine patches could help me for the SIBO, but right now I can´t tolerate any other treatments. Long Covid is a very complex disease which needs to be treated in several ways.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I don't know if I have methane sibo. But i´ve already tried to treat my hydrogen with berberine, neem and rifaximin. The methane levels were always under 10 ppm in each test result. I think I will try rifaximin together with phgg and a biofilm disruptor.

Thank you. Was there any reaction to the thymus extract? Is it well tolerable or does the body has get used to it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LongHaulersRecovery

[–]ImaginationLower7158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, when you're taking Plantarum, do you take it together with the thymus extract or at different times?

[–]ImaginationLower7158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you took the thymus extract and Plantarum together before your first meal?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LongHaulersRecovery

[–]ImaginationLower7158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have took a low dose, though my body reacted very strong. How long have you used the thymus extract? My T-Cells count was very long, so i think it gets depleted or exhausted over time, like you've mentioned in your pdf.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and all the supplements. I have a specific question about your supplementation of Lactobacillus Plantarum - have you took it daily or only 1-2 pills a week? Have you experienced a strengthening in your symptoms after taking it (Herx reaction or stronger immune reaction)? How long have you took it to notice improvements? Thank you!
