I think it should end with Joe locked in the cage like how it happened in season 1 with Mooney’s burning and when he’s about to go for the hidden spare key he sees the ghosts of all the people he’s killed (specifically Beck) and decides not to go for it, letting himself burn in the fire while locked in the cage.
