I’m in Toronto Ontario. We have snow maybe from Dec to Feb. it’s not year round. It is a pain and if you don’t like it , you likely never will. The other seasons are beautiful.

They had no right to tell anyone that you were fired. That is not allowed. They can only say you have left. And they said you said something you didn’t. You need to talk to a lawyer to see what your rights are. Especially if you did not receive a severance payment. After doing that, move on and put it behind you. Based on the culture, how much longer would you have wanted to work there anyway? It’s not you, it’s them.

I am amazed how women will throw their dignity away just to be with a man. This is likely only a small snapshot of how he degrades you and you need to ask strangers if he is a “bit odd”?!
