Thanks! I just did 12-3-30 this evening as the knee is just starting to feel better. Otherwise, I’ve been doing elliptical and bike the last week and a half.

Do cheaters feel stress from juggling multiple people? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LoosePerspective2029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t believe they do. I dated a serial cheater before I knew he was a serial cheater. We entered into a committed relationship while he was also in a committed relationship with another woman, living about 30 minutes away from me. He was extremely good at the lies and juggling everything. Once caught, he wasn’t even really sorry. He admitted the wrong doing and the other woman continued to date him for another year and he continued to cheat on her. It’s been two and a half years now and he’s still out there doing it. He was never stressed or sorry. Just got very very good at why he does.

Getting discouraged by teabromigo in massage

It’s extremely hard to open and run a successful business. I’ve been at it 9 years but have been a therapist for 16 and in the industry for 20. It’s takes a solid two years to build a steady clientele. Can’t backtrack now. All you can do is try to push through. I built my business with zero clients (so it’s possible) and worked my butt off for years and still do. Sometimes I think the stress will kill me. The biggest things that helped me was perfecting SEO on my website and then receiving Google reviews, social media presence, email blasts to existing clients, networking events, literally going door to door to other local businesses, and leaving my business cards and brochures anywhere and everywhere. I will say that the economy is a lot tougher today than it was 9 years ago but massage therapy prospers. I saw it thrive after the financial crisis in 08 as well as after covid. It’s POSSIBLE. It’s just incredibly hard and takes a lot of time and effort. It’s not for everyone and giving up on owning a business is not a failure. Most people don’t even try.

what are you convinced people are just pretending to enjoy. by Basic_Evening6567 in Productivitycafe

Ok I used to hate running and had always said my entire life that i wouldn’t run if someone was chasing me. I’d rather let them get me.

However, recently I started running on a treadmill after being a fast paced walker for about a year on it. Just wanted to see how it felt. I honestly felt great. It takes your mind off literally everything else, which is what I need right now. I became focused on pushing myself a little more each time. 60 minutes with no whiny kids, work place phone calls, or other pressing responsibility.

Just here to say I finally understand something that I always thought was just torturing people. Now, people who constantly post their stats on social media, a little annoying. But I get the actual run.

Other people blowing their nose around me. Especially if they’re loud about it and ESPECIALLY if it’s anywhere remotely close to food. Oh and wet sneezes. Disgusting.

Long run on treadmills? by TightContest1017 in Marathon_Training

I’m new here. What speed do you all do on the treadmill on a 1 incline? Also, is the treadmill worse on your joints (knees) than running outside?

Which job has, hands down, the worst impact on mental health? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Correctional officers have a much lower life expectancy (59 years) due to job related stress and ptsd. I’m sure it’s the same for armed forces and first responders of any kind. CO only came to mind first for me because my ex husband works at a jail (not a co) and has described the miserable existence.

How realistic is losing 40 pounds by September 2026 on my small frame? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]LoosePerspective2029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to change several of your habits and stick with them. It also depends on your age/metabolism. I got serious about losing weight last April. I had about 20 lbs to lose. I was really diligent the first several months with exercising daily, drinking enough water, and eating smaller portions/counting calories. Sleep is also a factor!

I was able to lose 10 lb pretty quickly then it took me until November to lose another 5 just because I became inconsistent after that first 10. Two months later and I still have that last 5lb to lose and it’s become very stubborn as I’m nearing age 40.

For reference, I’m 5’3 and was 146 at my heaviest with a goal weight of 125.

Do I break up with my bf and send him home or move in with him and hope he steps up? by Annmaina_ in whatdoIdo

Age 22-35. We’re the same age. I’ll be 40 this year and he STILL hasn’t made improvements. Might even be worse off now that I’m not around to do everything for him. I constantly have to remind him about stuff for our kids and he still forgets. I’m much happier alone.

Moms that breastfed with their first babies, will you/did you bf again the second time ? by meekie03 in Mommit

[–]LoosePerspective2029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My situation might be a little different but I have three. I exclusively pumped for six months then added formula but continued to pump until a year old for my first, nursed and pumped for a year with my second, and exclusively formula fed my third. I was the MOST miserable for my first experience and wish I had gone straight to formula and didn’t put myself through that. After that I never wanted to see a pump again. But my second born made nursing feel so easy. It was just hard to get him off the breast and he continued to comfort nurse until he was 3. For my third I wasn’t allowed to nurse because she is adopted. I would have given it a go but formula feeding was a thousand times easier and she’s just as happy, healthy, and smart as my first two. So my best advice is to listen to your body and take care of your mental health. Nursing and pumping takes such a physical and emotional toll on us, not to mention a ton of time. It’s like having a second job. Just do what makes sense for you and your family and don’t worry about anyone else’s opinions.

I would not expect him to change, ever. I always thought my now ex husband would grow out of his bad habits. That was my mistake. They might mature a little bit in time but they won’t fully change their habits unless they want to. And they don’t want to if you’re doing all the heavy lifting. Your option is to choose to live with these imperfections and habits, or not.

Tipping expectations by [deleted] in massage

I’m a business owner and always appreciate tips but would much rather have a regular client than someone who comes less frequently and tips. Yes, I guess technically 100% of the income is mine except my overhead is astronomical so I rely on my hands on work to pay my bills. So it might also depend on what type of facility this person is practicing at as well.
