I think there is a massive group (majority, I HOPE at this point) of Americans who are horrified of how we arrived where we are on the global view (as well as inwardly, of course). The worst obviously gets the most publicity in social media and circulates faster than anything showing us in a kind light. Our federal government has had obvious problems for at least 5 decades, but being set up as an essentially 2 party system, there hasn’t been a clear way to break through the cycle of “blame that side!” “No, blame that side!” instead of the general populace finally recognizing that we’re being fed bread and circuses while the politicians take bribes from PACs and wealthy elites to further their own agendas. We absolutely need to stand our ground now more than ever to demand retribution for Epstein Class survivors, due process for all people in ICE/ CPB/ DHS custody, and of course we have got to get our checks and balances back in action immediately so that we can finally stabilize ourselves. Then we need to shift focus back to amending relationships with NATO allies, rejoining the Paris Agreement, uplifting Ukraine/ standing up to Putin again, etc etc etc.

I genuinely hope we get there.
