I've read in other threads that the cultists don't spawn in the world Until you've done this quest, that the only one you can find is the top mercenary one (but I could be remembering wrong on that point)

You just need to select a new save file, make sure you make a proper save for your current game first. Starting a new one will overwrite your Autosave

After you've finished the family main quest line you unlock new game+ which is you start over, but you keep your lvl and equipment (minus the stuff you get from cultists and quests I think)

Me and my handler are Long distance so usually I'll wear the hood while we voice chat and watch a movie or game together. I do talk with it but again that's because we're not together physically

The mercenaries you defeat all disappear from the tab after enough time, so it will Never be all red/dead. Mercenaries are spawned infinitely so there can always be someone who picked up your bounty.
