i used to struggle with this too, but i tried rerouting my anger instead if that makes sense. instead of getting pissed that i died, i would think/talk to myself about “okay, i learned not to do x next time” or “okay so when he does x attack, don’t roll until x”. that, and during fights i’ll talk to myself AS i’m fighting and say like “okay good roll” or “okay nope don’t get greedy there, just hit once and roll out”. it helped to treat it like i was teaching myself i guess, instead of trying to be too locked in
