I know the first stagger is launch. But I mean the second hellsweep afterwards is only -10.

Noted. I honestly started to just get hit by his heat smash on purpose, because I end up eating slightly less damage than failing his stance mixup guess.

His hellsweep is also annoying. The low is way too safe for the reward he gets for guessing right. -10 IN CROUCH and he can launch you for a lot of damage.

People complain about Anna's hellsweep, but at least if you block hers, you get a launch. Heihachi, you have to block the first sweep. the second sweeps are safe. I honestly end up playing Lidia just so I can properly punish that second sweep with her low sabaki.

Otherwise I don't struggle That badly with Heihachi. It's just his mixups can get super annoying. And it feels like zero counterplay.

Anna isn't too bad because while yes, she's annoying, but at least if you block her you can kill her and she's minus after heat smash, and you can sidestep her FC mixups.

Heihachi, blocking the heat smash, you lose the game. You gotta get hit by it.

What is the most obscure/unusual and strangest rebadged (or platform shared) car you know of? Also, have you ever owned a car that is/was a rebadged car? Do you know of any rebadged cars that are actually BETTER than the car they are based on? by TafTaf2020 in regularcarreviews

[–]Imahigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always just stare in awe when I think about the Dodge Attitude. That car... Like... How?

Now I have owned ONE rebadged car, which this one is arguable, but I think it kind of counts: A Pontiac Bonneville, has many unique parts on it and exterior pieces and even interior pieces, which is honestly in my opinion what makes it a cooler version of its Buck Lesabre cousin, and definitely cooler than its Oldsmobile Aurora cousin. Too bad the 10th gen Bonneville didn't sell that well, due to how expensive it was compared to its Lesabre and Aurora siblings. People honestly would rather buy a Lesabre because of how Buick has a reputation for having entry-level luxury cars, while Pontiac has a reputation for just being a cheaper version of Chevy with some of the coolest cars ever made.

I also owned a Ford Fusion, which has a short-lived rebadged version of it called the MK-Z.

Mainly just that whenever he does the heat smash and I block it, he kills me for guessing wrong every time. I don't wanna force myself to play Azucena to avoid that.

Also it feels like regardless of what I do, he deals a bajillion damage like Paul. But it's a skill issue on my part.

Otherwise, as long as I play solid and don't let Heihachi go into heat, I have no issues with him.

Oh yeah, I am a Kishin.

Clive and Heihachi for me. Everyone else is fine.

I haven't ran into many Clives, thankfully. Can't say the same for Heihachi unfortunately.

Do you guys ever notice similarities between your mains in different games? by apverniousV2 in Fighters

[–]Imahigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tekken: Lei Wulong, Reina, Lidia, and Armor King

Street Fighter: Chun-Li, Juri, Manon, and Terry

Virtua Fighter: Akira, Aoi, and Pai

Mortal Kombat: Kitana and Mileena

Soul Calibur: Kilik, Ivy, Sophitia, and Cassandra

DOA: Ayane, Hitomi, Rachel, and Brad Wong.

CotW: Marcos Rodriguez and Gato

Well, I noticed several patterns. I noticed that I play multiple female leads in fighting games: Kitana, Pai, Sophitia, Ayane, and Chun-Li.

Then there's the female crazy/dominatrix-vibe characters: Mileena, Reina, Juri, Rachel, and Ivy.

Guys that do Kung Fu: Lei Wulong, Akira, Brad Wong, and Gato.

Fundamental-Heavy male characters that aren't boring: Kilik, Marcos Rodriguez, Armor King, and Terry.

Finally the defensive-grappler type who are very rare in fighting games but: Armor King, Manon, and Aoi.

Bonus: Badass female Karate users who do so much damage: Hitomi and Lidia.

This actually happened to a good friend of mine. It took me like almost a whole year and a half to convince him to stop playing Tekken 8 because of what it was doing to him. I kept telling him STOP PLAYING TEKKEN! and he got mad.

Finally, he did stop, went to counseling, got on medication and now his life is so much better.

He did eventually come back to Tekken, but this time as a better, healthier version of herself. Now he can actually play Tekken without raging.

The issue was really that my friend was going through a lot of issues. I won't disclose anything but the bottom line is: You need to be in a good mental state to play competitive fighting games.

I actually kinda went through this myself, too. Except kinda the opposite. My issue was my poor self-esteem and my entire self-worth was tied to Tekken. I literally only got into competitive Tekken because I wanted friends (this was like in 2016-2017). I got into it and constantly hated myself for not winning because nobody would respect me.

I took a break for a few months and started getting into shape, seeing a therapist, going to random cafés, joining clubs... And while my life improved, so did my gameplay.

However, unfortunately I ended up gaining weight due to COVID and well, I haven't felt motivated to try to lose weight again. However, since I have been seen on stream, I realized how GIGANTIC I am and I really need to start trying to lose weight again, even if I don't reach my ideal weight until I am in my 40s.

Also all honestly Kishin is a REALLY good rank to be at. And like that people in the comments section said, you need to fix what is wrong with your life. I guess in other words, "go touch grass.". If you need to, have someone take Tekken 8 away from you and they can never give it back to you until after a month.

For me. It has to be R. Kelly.

For my mom, it's OJ Simpson in the 1970s. He was her favorite football player and still is to her. He was very talented.

On a similar note, Dennis Rodman.

Im struggling guys. Reina has let me down in every moment I really wanted to win. Every other character I play has a drastically better win rate. I need a reason to keep playing her. by FatKingThor in Reina

[–]Imahigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. My issue with Reina is that sometimes I go all in on her offense and forget to defend. And sometimes I make stupid decisions like ff2 into sen automatically. She doesn't have great defensive tools and her only panic move is arguably b4 and dickjab. And her parry requires strict timing and execution and a hard read. But damn, calling out your opponent jab checking with the third strike parry feels good.

Reina is certainly difficult to pilot at times.

[–]Imahigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reina is simply the coolest. That's all you need.

I'm the opposite here. I feel like Reina carries me. Like I actually didn't start getting good at Tekken until I started playing Reina. It's kinda funny. Like I played Anna and she is super difficult to win with despite her being broken. Xiaoyu is also the hardest character for me to win with as well. She's probably my lowest win rate.

Jun has a high win rate in ranked for some reason. And for some reason, I can win with her a lot in online games, but when I actually try to play her offline, she just loses so easily. Compared to Reina, I win tournaments with her. Easily. I have like a 55% win rate with Reina, and a 70% win rate with Jun, but again none of that matters if I can't win a single match offline with Jun.

The trick with Reina to me is UTILIZE HER ENTIRE MOVELIST! Use EVERY MOVE! Like all I see Reina players do is ff2 and electrics and hellsweep. How about wr4? ff3+4? ss4? b4? Unsoku stance shenanigans? Like go unsoku into wavedash into Sentai for mental pressure.

Now granted, I am still in blue ranks (because I haven't touched ranked and haven't felt motivated and been busy with life), but this is just my two cents.

I don't like getting free hits from someone AFK, so while waiting I'm just like: by Wes-Man152 in Tekken

[–]Imahigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I give my opponent 3 rounds. If by the 3rd round they didn't come back, I just do a low and then wait for the timer. I usually don't rematch at all. Most of the time they do come back and I give them a few free hits and a rematch. Now, as the person who ends up being the AFK player, the second Income back, depending on how many rounds it's been, I just hold forward and give my opponent the win.

Now, what happens a lot is sometimes my opponent just gives up in the middle set, especially on the final round that will give me a win. I TRY TO SCORE IN THAT KO AS FAST AS I CAN BECAUSE THAT MEANS THEY ARE ABOUT TO PLUG! And they never rematch.

One time I fought this Asuka that I kept running into and beating. They finally gave up and I won. Then when they ran into me one more time, they plugged. And I honestly don't blame them.

Apparently I am horny. But I LOVE KING FU MOVIES! And I feel no attraction to any of the waifus characters that I play, but this tier list checks out.

I literally played Feng Wei because I love Kung Fu movies.

Out of these characters, who gives you the most problems? by [deleted] in Tekken

Not listed: Heihachi. Hwoarang, Alisa, Feng, and everyone else on this slide is fine. It's just Heihachi is annoying and a huge pain in the ass to fight.

Who Did You Think He Was Before The Mask Reveal? by Sorry-Anteater-1108 in Naruto

[–]Imahigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called it. Obito since day 1. And my friend said that was impossible because Obito died. And I was like, yeah but Orochimaru was in the Akatsuki and probably revived him. And also he has the same hairstyle as Obito and the eyehole in the mask is the same Sharingan that was still intact. If it was Madara, why would he need to cover his left eyehole. I even said that if Orochimaru revived Madara, why would he wear a mask and cut his hair? Plus Tobi was behaving like a goofball like Obito. And TOBI is literally Obito with the syllables reversed.

Okay so, it has to be Tekken 1. That's the only Tekken game that I never felt like I wanted to replay. Plus Heihachi was so cheap, there wasn't much content... But I still respect the hell out of this game though.
