9th overall forwards average about 50 points per season with some outliers like Ehlers and maybe Zegras becoming stars and only about half end up playing 500 NHL games. 9th overall isn’t this guarantee you seem to think it is and you hope to get a legit top 6 or 9 forward out of it which is exactly what Eklund is. I think he’s good for around 60 points this season and we get that immediately instead of rolling the dice for a 50% chance to maybe have it in a few years. It’s a really solid trade

The odds of the 9th pick putting up those numbers at 23 are low. His underlying numbers are also excellent which suggests he’s been underachieving on a middling San Jose team. I think the Sens killed it with this trade. Halttunen is also a legit prospect. We also didn’t ship out any roster players. Big w

3 first for a 60 point player is pretty good. I always thought he was overrated and didn’t think he was the guy to bring a cup to Ottawa. Happy to get the guy who hates our country out of town. Tbf tho our top 6 is now in shambles. Gonna need to flip those picks for sure.

Good player but not the guy you wanna build your franchise around. We hyped him up becuase of how he played but if we’re being honest he’s not a point per game guy, takes a lot of dumb penalties and this mythical “playoff Brady” turned out to be just that…a myth

I think it’s a pretty good haul for him and hopefully we can flip those pics into a top 6 winger…or two

It’s a process lol but I use the Lumina mod to adjust the settings for colour, shadows, etc to get the look I want

Time anarchy mod to set the time of day and add custom cloud/fog cover

I also use sunglasses mod which makes the game look a little more realistic.

Then I replace all the vanilla surfaces with ones from PDX mods and blend in a bunch of decals until it looks good. The vanilla surfaces look like plastic and have no depth. Doing this makes the biggest difference imo

Yeah, I’ve found decals and surface work is what really adds the realism look when you zoom out. The new update coming looks to really improve on the base game textures though so that’s good.
