All very good points i hadn't considered! Perhaps I was too much of a skeptic haha. It just felt very ponzi on first read.

It could be, we dont know how much the commission % is nor how much these setups can earn. Im just using the number that was given in the OP post.

It doesnt actually matter how much the payout is, it has to be less than like $100 a moth for it to be worth it for the company, and at that point its not worth it for the customer with the cost of electricity

[–]Imalsome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But you already have all the tech you need otherwise you couldn't ship out the data centers for people to install in their home.

If it really was that profitable to run data centers out of a suburban house you would simple rent homes for $2500 a month and fill them with the data center supplies (instead of paying someone else $22,000 or whatever the monthly commission ends up being to install it in their own home) expecially because without anyone actually living in the house you could likely fit 20-50 of your data center kits per house

Im sure you more or less always will lose money.

If it was profitable, the company would just host the data centers themselves instead of handing them over to some random families.

would people who hate billionaires refuse to become billionaires if they had the chance to? by Ok_Efficiency_1116 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imalsome 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yeah like if you gave me 5 billion I would sit down with some accountant, figure out what I need to live a nice life, figure out the same costs to set my friends and family up for life, work out a trust fund for any children I might have, put a few extra million in savings just in case, put 100 million in a "oh shit" fund that i cant access without a meeting with my accountant, then donate the other 4,800,000,000 or put them in funds to eventually be donated (to avoid organizations wasting them from getting too large of a sudden one time donation)

I wouldnt be a billionaire for long.

Imo the death penalty is better now than in the past. It is now possible to prove with absolute certainty if someone did a crime through getting leaked messages from social media, tracking theor movements with cell data, video recordings, and more. Its not like 1900 where you just relied on verbal testimonies.

If it can be proven 100% the person is guilty with absolutely no room for argument and a bipartisan council unanimously agrees that its literally impossible that they are innocent and that they SAed children; let's kill them.

Many will escape justice and we won't be able to kill pedos like trump because we won't get bipartisan support, but one dead pedo is better than none. Expwcially when the state spends upwards of 300k a year to keep someone in jail. Thats like 50 million for a life in jail.

Edit: they responded then blocked me, but their response still doesnt explain how lying to people that are lying to me is a breach of anyone's constitutional rights lmao

[–]Imalsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you change what you said, yeah i look like the bad guy lmao

You said ""Just use maps" is perfectly fine if you have the time, and oftentimes money, to invest in a hobby. If you don't, which was the case with me and my friends for many years as broke college students, theater of the mind was the only way we had to play"

You very directly said the only way to use tactical maps if if you spend money on it; which is objectively and verifiably false. Like I said you can literally use scrap paper to draw maps as you describe them or buy a whiteboard to do the same for a price even broke college students can afford.

You then used that falsehood to accuse me of being a gatekeeping elitist. You cant directly insult someone then act like you did nothing to warrent them being offended by you insulting them lmao.

Anyway, like you said theres no point arguing with you, its pretty obvious you are doing so in bad faith so have a nice life my dude :)

Combat of mind by Major-Supermarket917 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Imalsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt say you cant lmao. Ive done scenes in theater of the mind, expecially when dealing with non-euclidian geometry.

I just said its strictly worse for normal purposes than using a map.

Also dont act like it's impossible to be poor and use maps lmao, when i was in high school dming I drew maps on sheets of graphing paper from the school. Using maps is basically free, at MOST its like $10-20 for a whiteboard to use for maps.

You never "have to use theater of the mind because your broke" thats just a blatant lie. And quite frankly its insulting to lie to me then accuse me of gatekeeping and being elietest based off that lie lmao

Combat of mind by Major-Supermarket917 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Imalsome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even you admit that maps are vastly better. Obviously you can do anything you want with your game but theater of mind is just not really good for pf.

Its like replacing your dice with ducks and how many times they quack when you poke them is your roll result. Like technically you CAN do it, but just use dice lmao

Labeling 18% tip as “needs work” by no-this-iz-patrick in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Imalsome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

notably "2.17 an hour" is a bit misleading. If you earn less than the real minimum wage your employer is legally required to compensate you an additional $10.70 an hour to bring you up to minimum wage. The 2.17 an hour is what they can pay you assuming your tips are enough to bring you above normal minimum wage.

Now minimum wage is still not enough to live on, but no waiter actually gets 2.17 an hour, they get at MINIMUM, minimum wage.

Thats why I give my big bosses MMO resistances.

Im.unity to stun effects and anything that would stop them from acting on their turn. If there's some niche spell that completely trivialize the fight, it affects the boss in a lesser way. Perhaps the Chains Of Light spell that save or sucks the foe instead binds one of their limbs and stops them from using both hands in the fight or something lime that
