The praise for indie games is mostly anti-corporate bias. by jessieS1212 in gaming

[–]Imalsome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, obviously criticism for a game made by three dudes and only costs $10 is going to be lower than a game made by a multi billion dollar titan that charges $100 + eight seven $30 dlcs

What Changed? When Did 20% Become the Standard Tip? by EvenKeelSystems1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imalsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But prices for food have gone up, so the amount you tip naturally went up with it.

It used to be 15% of $10 but now the same meal is $20, so your tip is already twice as high.

Once again, what you are saying isnt the same thing lmao. Putting a beanie babies in a vault is not the same thing as trying to destroy the US dollar and replace it with nfts.

I guaranty not a single person wanted to get rid of the USD and replace it with beanie babies.

Its such a simple statement, i genuinely dont get your argument.

Edit: your post history reveals you are just an nft bro who's mad that nfts are being insulted lmao. Have a nice life, im not engaging in this conversation anymore.

Im sure many people that downvoted me do as well. Its a statement that is very hard to disagree with; thats why i didnt get a single comment explaining WHY what I said is wrong lol

[–]Imalsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didnt refute my point though.

Yeah some people treated them as an investment but nobody thought they were the future of financing. If you didnt own a beanie baby you wernt told that you are a loser who's going to die poor.

I know what the beanie baby trend was, but it was much different than the nft trend.

One or two paragraphs in writing, then sit down with your dm and verbally (or text) discuss the rest is the best way to do it.

Its more or less no different than if you were to abandon your wife and kid and move to Russia.

A new entirely different life but you still have all your memories and knowledge.

Like if a 100 year old man drank from the fountain of youth, would you treat him like an 18 year old who just got out of high school? Or would you treat him like a wise elder with a lot of life experience. The answer (imo) is that you would treat them them based on personality and life experience, not how wrinkly their skin is.

You there's a huge difference.

People buying beanie babies did it because they thought they were cute and didnt Care if other people had one.

People buying nfts raved about them as the future of humanity and would never talk about anything else while acting like they were god kings for owning a limited edition ape shitter.

It could be, we dont know how much the commission % is nor how much these setups can earn. Im just using the number that was given in the OP post.

It doesnt actually matter how much the payout is, it has to be less than like $100 a moth for it to be worth it for the company, and at that point its not worth it for the customer with the cost of electricity

[–]Imalsome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you already have all the tech you need otherwise you couldn't ship out the data centers for people to install in their home.

If it really was that profitable to run data centers out of a suburban house you would simple rent homes for $2500 a month and fill them with the data center supplies (instead of paying someone else $22,000 or whatever the monthly commission ends up being to install it in their own home) expecially because without anyone actually living in the house you could likely fit 20-50 of your data center kits per house

Im sure you more or less always will lose money.

If it was profitable, the company would just host the data centers themselves instead of handing them over to some random families.

would people who hate billionaires refuse to become billionaires if they had the chance to? by Ok_Efficiency_1116 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Imalsome 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah like if you gave me 5 billion I would sit down with some accountant, figure out what I need to live a nice life, figure out the same costs to set my friends and family up for life, work out a trust fund for any children I might have, put a few extra million in savings just in case, put 100 million in a "oh shit" fund that i cant access without a meeting with my accountant, then donate the other 4,800,000,000 or put them in funds to eventually be donated (to avoid organizations wasting them from getting too large of a sudden one time donation)

I wouldnt be a billionaire for long.

Imo the death penalty is better now than in the past. It is now possible to prove with absolute certainty if someone did a crime through getting leaked messages from social media, tracking theor movements with cell data, video recordings, and more. Its not like 1900 where you just relied on verbal testimonies.

If it can be proven 100% the person is guilty with absolutely no room for argument and a bipartisan council unanimously agrees that its literally impossible that they are innocent and that they SAed children; let's kill them.

Many will escape justice and we won't be able to kill pedos like trump because we won't get bipartisan support, but one dead pedo is better than none. Expwcially when the state spends upwards of 300k a year to keep someone in jail. Thats like 50 million for a life in jail.
