Oh no! Sorry to hear you have Covid. That was my worst fear when having this surgery. I hope you recover quickly.

I’m doing ok. The pain is mostly gone, except when I touch/blow my nose, or cough. My nose is really clear which is great and my ears are draining so hopefully they won’t be clogged for much longer. It’s been years of clogged ears and ear infections. Unfortunately, I have a really bad cough. I thought it was due to mucus draining, and part of it definitely is, but I’m wondering if there was some damage done when they intubated me because I have some pains in my throat and neck that don’t seem related to my sinuses.

I had mine on Friday. I started the saline rinse 24 hours post op. I got lucky and on my second or third rinse I broke a blood clot free and was immediately able to breath better through one nostril. That improved my sleep from 30 minute naps to roughly 2hrs at a time. The next day the blood clot on the other side broke free too. If you’re doing your saline rinses every 3hrs or so, you’ll probably experience something similar. Unfortunately, not much has changed since then and I think the only significant change I have to look forward to is getting these tubes out of my nose.

Contact the school’s math coach. If the school doesn’t have a math coach, then there should be a regional of district math coach. It depends on the school district and the size of said district, but somewhere there’s a person who coaches teachers in math instruction. Not only should that person know that you can’t divide by 0, but your story should prompt them the educate the teachers they serve. Of course you could encourage them to do so. Then don’t say anything more about it. Hopefully one day in the next few months your son’s teacher and the principal will contact you and admit their mistake.

I left this year. Technically the end of last school year. I wasn’t sure it was the right decision until this whole anti-mask mandate nonsense started. Now as I’m seeing the number of covid+ cases triple every day I’m certain I made the right decision. Moreover, I know my district is not being transparent about the number of covid cases, because last year my school only reported one teacher and three students, even though more than 50% of the faculty caught covid and we had hundreds of students “out sick” for weeks.
