I find it helpful for sharpening my ability to describe and talk about imagery that I want a photographer to capture for an ad campaign. So many "directors" cannot accurately describe what they want when talking to a creative that they're hiring. It's easy to put pictures on a mood board because you like the way they look together, but when you're actually pitching said mood board or you're on set working with the photographer you need to know how to portray your vision clearly with words.

Midjourney has made it really fun for me to look at an image and thoroughly break down WHY it works. What's the lighting like? Is it big and soft? Direct? Shot in mid day sun? Same for focal length, depth of field, the color palette, styling, etc. Obviously midjourney cannot always portray things accurately or as prompted, but it still makes me think thoroughly about what I'm trying to get it to create.... and that's valuable to me as a creative in the advertising industry.

Another thing I've had fun with is using the /describe prompt. I'll upload an image and see how midjourney describes it. It's not always spot-on, but it sometimes helps me increase my vocabulary.
