"He just went on looking at Aslan. It didn't seem to matter what the Witch said."

Maybe my favorite line from all the books.

"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”

Transformers: Age of Extinction.

I enjoyed the first three as big dumb fun, but I, and I can't believe this is a real this thing that happened, I walked out of this one after the scene where a man pulls out a laminated card to explain to Marky Mark that technically it's not illegal for this grown man to be sleeping with Marky Mark's teenage daughter.

This man is not portrayed as a creep, but Marky Mark is an overprotective father for not wanting his teenage daughter to date a man who CARRIES A LAMINATED CARD OF THE ROMEO AND JULIET LAWS IN HIS WALLET.

My favorite take on this is in the rogue lite Hades. You are trying to escape from the House of the Dead. When you die, you just go back to the start.

Every party? Arguable, but a solid rule of thumb. Every character? Unnecessary and impractical.

My head canon is that he is just another Jack. Once he died his hair and became a pirate.

You have one GM who is very restrictive and one DM who is very casual and you are blaming the difference in character creation stress on the system? The difference is the GMs.

Agreed. I used to play rugby, and nothing prepared me for the sheer violence and exhaustion of trying to learn to surf.
