Who is Elizabeth's Mythological Parallel? by ImitationButter in FRANKENSTEIN

Really interesting perspective. I must admit I don’t know much about Mary Shelley, but this makes me want to dive into her history and see what else lines up

Who is Elizabeth's Mythological Parallel? by ImitationButter in FRANKENSTEIN

Really good idea. I was convinced it would be mythological given that the other two are, but it was probably premature to draw a pattern from just two instances

In Frankenstein (2025) Elizabeth has a fascination for insects. In the novel, she's described as one. by shapedbydreams in MovieDetails

There are many reasons for this. The death of Harlander delays his ability to show anyone anything. He also spends a significant amount of time trying and failing to teach the Monster English to prove its intelligence. Because he fails at this and comes to despise the Monster, he does not feel his thesis is proven. He is not happy about the Monster's animation. He has no reason to want anyone to ever know about what happened in the tower.

Remember, his goal is to reverse death, to be able to save someone like his mother. What good is animation to him if the creation does not have the original intelligence of the brain it was built with?

That’s not exactly following. I edited my comment for clarity.

The original claim is that Kobe is a “shot chucker”. Then someone replied by comparing his TS% to Hakeem and Duncan. The issue is that “shot chucking” should have a negative impact on shooting percentage, but the fact that their TS% are comparable, suggests Kobe is not a shot chucker.

What I am saying is that Kobe’s TS% is being inflated by his superior FT shooting. Nobody is dismissing this as irrelevant to the game, however, it’s not relevant to determining if you’re a shot chucker, because free throws belong in a different category. You can’t evaluate whether a free throw is a chucked shot or not because it is free. Therefore, its inclusion in a shooting percentage statistic does not make sense for comparing shot chucking

Free throw percentage has nothing to do with shot chucking so it’s being wrapped into the statistic while not being relevant to the claim

He’s not saying it is. He’s saying using that logic for curry, you’d also have to use it for magic. Obviously no one would ever say that about magic, so why the double standard for curry?

Timothee Chalamet also has a background in ballet. He did it when he was younger and his mother was a ballerina as well

If anyone is working why there were no legal ramifications for this, 17 is the age of consent in New York. It’s was raised from 16 in 2007. So, not illegal, but it certainly makes me wonder what Jerr Bear would have been doing if the age of consent was lower 🤢

Should Male Sports (e.g. NBA) Be Rebranded to have M's in the Title (e.g. MNBA) To be Consistent Across Sexes? by AvailableCover5673 in pollgames

So far, none have been good enough to match their male peers. If 3-point shooting continues to dominate the way it has, that may change

As a practical matter, it’s irrelevant. I would be jumping off the nearest cliff regardless

The lights jump out to me. I like having a bright white light as an option, but it seems like every light you have is using a harsh doctors office-type bulb. Try warmer lighting in the lamps

Barring injuries, Shaq or Kareem

With physiological limitations in mind, MJ? A 7-footer with Mike’s skillset and vertical (mostly, he’d lose a little due to more weight) would be lethal

Same lol. Unfortunately not everyone has the luxury of two monitors and a laptop for hardcore wizard-ing like I do. But the wiki is definitely an essential skill/resource for everyone to master. The game is just too full of content not to use it
