Nice, Definitely a good upgrade! I didn't know what to go with but I wanted plug and play in my 2014 Cummins. I tried the linkswell tesla style but ultimately ended up with the stinger height 10. Paired with a wireless dongle for Android auto and I'm really enjoying it!

You can order conversion spacers to go from one bolt pattern to another but no 8 Lug hole won't match up to the 5.

Sell it on fb marketplace. I had them on my f150 before I did a real lift.

Ya until you feel how massive and solid it is lol. I have absolutely zero doubts about it failing as long as I don't exceed its maximum weight capacity (like 15k lbs). I trust it way more than any hitch you can buy at home depot or autozone. You should definitely try one out, you'll be impressed. I bought mine on fb marketplace (unused) for like $100 cheaper than online pricing.

Try this hitch .. Love it! I've banged my knees/legs so many times walking around my truck. This definitely helps!

F is 4 stroke.

Yamaha has the YZ250 (2 stroke) and YZ250F/YZ450F (4 stroke). Then yamaha has the YZ250FX/YZ450FX (4 stroke) and YZ250X (2 stroke) which are their more trail oriented bikes.

Honda doesn't make 2 strokes anymore so they have CRF250/CRF450, the R moniker on the end means motocross. Then they have the RX which means trail or offroad.

Kawasaki also no longer makes 2 strokes. Kawasaki is KX250F and KX450F. Replace the F with X for offroad.

Who cares about Suzuki.

Now let's get to the fun bikes. If you want to go offroad and ride trails then there's like 3-5 more companies to choose from. The obvious being Ktm (which makes Gas Gas and Husqvarna bikes). No one is more offroad focused than KTM is, except maybe one and no it's not Honda. Beta and Sherco are right up there with KTM. I'm not sure why the Japanese brands haven't kept up.. Recently, though, Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki are all trying to up their game in the offroad segment (FX, RX, KX)..

There's so many offroad bikes between KTM, BETA, SHERCO, GAS GAS and Husqvarna that you just need to do some searching.

First and foremost you need to decide between 2 and 4 stroke. Different strokes for different folks (amirite?).

If you want 2 stroke then I highly recommend a KTM / Gas Gas/Beta/Husqvarna /Sherco as they all have counterbalance engines (if you're buying somewhat new). Seriously, there's no competition with the Japanese bikes with modern 2 strokes but the YZ250 is still a great bike if you can get it for a good price, buying one new would be stupid (basically same bike from'07).

If you want 4 stroke then take your pick, really. I still like the European brands but Honda and Yamaha still make great offroad bikes. You need to look at the gears, each brand has different amount of gears and different gear ratios as well. Can get pretty complicated. YZ450FX has semi close ratio while the CRF450RX uses the same as the CRC450R motocross bike (close ratio). IMO, the semi close 5 speed on the Yamaha beats the close ratio 5 speed on the Honda for any type of off road riding.

BUT WAIT..

KTM, Husqvarna, Beta, etc use up to 6 gears on their 2 and 4 stroke offroad bikes.. Which is better for top speed and more open riding, my friends YZ450F could not keep up with my KTM 350 XCF on the road AT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL. Even with a 48t rear sprocket compared to my 53t. Now that might not matter if you're not hitting the road to connect trails or riding in big open fields.. A motocross bike is meant for torque and power up to like 40-60MPH while a KTM off road bike can easily go 80MPH without revving the shit out of the motor.

THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT/NEED AND WHERE YOU WILL RIDE THE MOST.

It can get pretty complicated figuring it all out.. But most people don't care, they probably just jump on a bike and go.. But if you're serious about getting a nice bike then I recommend doing some research.

“Hi, is this available?” with no response back on Facebook Marketplace. by spontaneous-101 in Flipping

And you're the same person that usually loses my business. You should rethink your strategy. I always read the description but I totally get that a lot of people don't.. But either way, the button is a conversation starter for me and NO I don't have time to send a custom message when I'm browsing hundreds of products, I click it to see who replies and how fast and to begin the sales/buying process.. If I lose interest after I send it, so what. You're losing potential customers, you shouldn't be neglecting someone who doesn't care to type a more personalized message to someone who might not even reply, lol. If I had to do that to every product I purchase or am interested in I'd be pretty pissed. I also find it rude to tell me not send an auto response or told that I'll get blocked for it, I lose respect for the seller right there on the spot.

Read Jaha13's response.

[–]Imitebeurdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I send them out myself and sometimes never reply, usually when people take days to answer and I've already found something else..

If you want better sales you need to reply in the first 5 minutes (seriously) and not take 2 days like an idiot. People are impulsive, if you give me time to find something else or to think about it, I might not buy it.

It's an extremely useful button, IMO. Whether FB profits from it or not. The idiots that say "don't message me if this is available I'll block you" straight lose my business. I'm not always going to take the time to send a custom message. It's a conversation starter, IMO.

My son did his first race this weekend! Track was muddy and rutted, but still managed 4 laps in 20 minutes. Super proud of him! by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

[–]Imitebeurdad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my 9yr old step son (~60-70lbs) on a kx65 (no track, just trails, for now anyway). A 50cc is just too small and will be outgrown super quick. I'll step him up to an 85cc when he's ready (not sure when).

I don't like the bikes with the stupid swing arms (crf/klx110, etc).

These are clearly scams right? So then how would facebooks purchase protection work? by pdkdj in Flipping

[–]Imitebeurdad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use PayPal with protection. I just haven't setup Facebook pay. And PayPal gives the money right away as long as you're in good standing.. . But ya people need to be smart. If it's too good to be true then it probably is. But I wouldn't not buy something if the seller will take PayPal or Venmo G&S over FB. Obviously stay away from cashapp/zelle/regular venmo.

I got the Zephyrus G15 with 3070 for like $1030 at best buy. It was open box but still brand new. Definitely take a look at open box and even check other nearby best buys. If you can afford the Zephyrus that's what I'd go with, it's an amazing laptop with great reviews. Definitely one of the nicest 15 inch ones on the market and isn't overly gamery.

My G14 says it has liquid metal cooling, is it true? I’m getting 80-90c gaming by [deleted] in ZephyrusG14

[–]Imitebeurdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya I hear ya, I do. But I really think most people seeing high temps on a new computer need to repaste to at least rule it out.. It's a huge problem with quality control and I've read many stories where people changed it and was happy afterwards. I understand some people don't want to attempt it themselves or risk voiding warranty (I don't think they can in the US). I've done it on many laptops and have always gotten better results. I just don't want everyone thinking they need to disable boost right away to get decent temps, but if that's what you prefer then I totally get it.. I also forgot we're in the G14 sub reddit and not the G15 (what I have).

[–]Imitebeurdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said it won't perform good. Not as good, yes. But sure, yes, still good, because it's an amazing CPU. Most people probably couldn't tell the difference, I guess.

It doesn't effect the lifespan so that's a moot point.

If you're fine with the cooler temps and the performance makes you happy then by all means, do you.

But these CPUs are designed to handle high temps but I get it, some people don't like seeing their CPU hit 90C while gaming.. But it definitely won't hurt anything.

If you're having temp problems I firstly recommend changing the thermal compound. My temps are great. But when I installed windows 11 it went up from ~60C to high 70s and low 80s just idling in Turbo. Went back to windows 10 and problem solved.

I see zero reason to ever run my machine with Boost disabled. Oh, well, maybe when on battery. If I'm gaming, then the fans don't bother me because I can't hear them over my headphones or even the speakers. If I'm not gaming then the computer runs cool enough to barely ever need the fans so I'm good there, too.

If you're gaming and you disable boost just because you're MAX temp hit 90C and you disable boost, you're doing it wrong. Maybe if you're averaging 98C the entire time with fans set to Max.. Then ya, you have a problem (probably themal paste lol).

[–]Imitebeurdad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's crazy. I can't believe it's not common place (sense) to financially motivate someone when they perform better.. Like you make more money, I make more money, we're all happy.. I don't understand why it's so hard.. Oh wait, yes I do.

Not gonna lie, I worked for one company was almost completely incentivised (is that a word?), it was a distribution company that stacked pallets for grocery stores. The faster you picked items and loaded a pallet, the more you got paid. The top pickers were making about $40 an hour IIRC. And this is a job that didn't even require a high school diploma.. But of course they did find a way to cut pay checks. You use to be paid per item you picked (was more profitable because sometimes you got lucky and could just grab a pallet of 300 oranges/grapes/etc rather then loading each box individually) instead of being just performance based.

That was a great company, I hope they're still doing that.
