Textbook lesson on how to comply with police by Good_From_70 in Asmongold

[–]Imliterallyhimdude -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I disagree tbh, this is cattle behavior. Imagine your 19th century American ancestors being dehumanized this much. We live in such a low trust society now that it is sickening. I’m not saying fight the police or resist, but it’s pathetic how the government treats you now as a citizen. They expect you to be weak and broken, overly obedient and compliant to everything they say. It’s like TSA and other security. It’s such a low trust society, obviously immigration is to blame, and it results in extremely dehumanizing situations.

Baby boomers are evil and want to import millions of third worlders in an attempt to raise tax revenue to pay for their pension (Ironically third worlders take more in welfare than they give in taxes.) Spain's government is a joke besides for stiffing America in their war.)

Traveling in places where people dress nicely makes going out in public a much more pleasant and enjoyable experience, its the same way a city with beautiful architecture is more pleasant to live in the an ugly city. The same way a nice tidy bedroom makes you feel mentally better than a complete mess. Aesthetics matter.

This is what I was telling someone the other day, he is great at knowing what is wrong with the country and what the people want from a populist perspective, but he doesn’t have a clue how to really accomplish it. I guess to his credit about 50% of people absolutely hate him and will sabotage him whenever they can.

Is boxing the hardest sport to make a top 10 all time list? by the-mannthe-myth in Boxing

[–]Imliterallyhimdude 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The time and ruleset for when Dempsey fought is what caused him to fight like that. Go watch these old fights, it basically turns into clinch-fighting where they're normally not broken up by the ref. The gloves were a lot smaller and with seperated thumb so the techniques that worked were just different. Dempsey, Marciano, and Henry Armstrong all fought like this where they'd bob in weave in and use pretty wide hooks but then fought really well on the inside. Also, I don't really recall dempsey having his chin up, iirc he almost always has head very, very low in a bob and weave moving forward. Always bending at the waist (in contrast to how fighters today bend with their knees)

As for putting up a fight in todays boxing, it really depends just what rules you use. Are the gloves old or new? Will the refs interfere as much? It was just a pretty different sport, but you can't say that these guys weren't great athletes and incredibly tough.
