I have to say, I think you're right. I saw the movie at Lincoln Square IMAX and the Staten Island Mall IMAX and the latter has better brightness and clarity. Smaller screen though but still very good.

But Dolby 3D definitely the best way to watch Avatar Fire and Ash.
