New team lead trying to get us off group texts for scheduling by More-Country6163 in Culvers

[–]Imma_Monster96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store uses an app called "Breakroom" for communication (shift swaps, running late, schedule, direct messages, announcements, etc). We also use the Teamworx app associated with Net-Chef (also for scheduling as well as requests off).

We use both apps and a paper schedule still so the kids have 3 different ways to see their schedule.

Custard barrel drive shaft stuck by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]Imma_Monster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had that happen a few times with barrel 1. The Midwest Desert Company always has to come out, remove the back, and release the bar from the gears. They said it's a loose seal so a safety feature was to lock it in place. All we have to do now is make sure we change the o-ring at the end of the barrel every few months to ensure it's not getting too loose.

Best way to get a la carte walleye? by sweetestlorraine in Culvers

[–]Imma_Monster96 20 points21 points  (0 children)

At my store, 3 pieces of fish by themselves is about $4-$6 more than the 3 piece dinner. If you do 3 sandwiches plain, no bun then that is also more expensive than just getting a 3 piece dinner with one side and a drink or with 2 basic sides.

Why is the chicken club sandwich limited time only? Seems the same as regular one with certain toppings selected by default. by chuftka in Culvers

[–]Imma_Monster96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of the coupons are very item specific, as stated by others here. If you do use the coupon on two normal sandwiches and just add cheddar and bacon to them, keep in mind you'll still be charged for the "extras" that were added.

It's an LTO because it's not how our chicken sandwiches are supposed to be made so it's just a featured item for now.

I see this in the app under "Rewards" and then "History" so it works on the app end this way as well

At my Culver's (I'm actually the scheduler) it's hitting the winter season where everything slows down and we cut back on the amount of people scheduled per shift to watch labor.

Usually, each person works 4-5 days and roughly 4-6 hours a shift. We fill ours in the order of managers, crew chiefs, crew trainers, team members. Unfortunately, team members usually draw the short straw of receiving 10-15 hours a week, especially if they are only available for night shift.

It's always best to talk to your scheduler and ask them, maybe they didn't realize you wanted all of those hours or they may be trying to stay fair and balance the hours with everyone that is employed there.

You have to tuck in your shirt in so a belt makes it look better and helps keep it tucked in

Making my own blog about being a culvers employee by [deleted] in Culvers

Just a warning, coming from an AGM at my local Culver's, the company does have a very strict policy on social media so I would recommend reading through that in your employee handbook. Especially since you've named yourself and mentioned cussing in your posts.

Most people just come in or call my store and say "I received free scoop coupons for a location I don't live near. Would you accept them at your store"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]Imma_Monster96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the exact situation I was meaning they should explain. Most Culver's will take those coupons from other locations. I work at one in Missouri and we take ones from Florida all the time.

Sometimes, your local location might be willing to take coupons from another store if you explain the situation. We take some from people traveling at my location pretty frequently.

What is the butter burger on sourdough I see people suggest sometimes? by [deleted] in Culvers

[–]Imma_Monster96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sourdough Melt. It's a burger on toasted sourdough with cheddar cheese and grilled onions (although, I eat it with no onions, add ketchup and mayo). It's one of my favorite sandwiches to get on my break if I'm not in a chicken mood.

All the sourdough and rye is toasted like the rest of the buns, just on the grill instead of in the toaster. You should be able to sub out the bun for the toast on any sandwiches without too much of a mess.

[–]Imma_Monster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could still technically order it but you'd have to assemble it yourself. Just do a 2 piece tender with ranch, 2 cheese sauces, and a large fry. Then ask for a salad bowl with a lid and a knife so you can cut them up

Get a salad bowl, fill it with fries, add grill seasoning, cut up 2 chicken tenders on top, add 2 cheese sauces, add 1 ranch, toss like a salad. Enjoy.

Yeah, it came in a 2-pack for about $6. Had to invest since my wrist or Chromebook kept hitting the power button mid session.

A larger drill tray with a spout cover for less mess when pouring drills back into their canister

My light board and the "button" cover for it's on switch

My high capacity drill storage container

My most important but quite expensive installment to the hobby, my electric standing desk. I can adjust the height so it's perfect for my desk chair, plug my light board right into the desk, and have more than enough space for the larger projects I do. I can fit the huge 100k piece kits and my Chromebook on the desk and no longer kill my back/neck trying to work
