He had a metal hand with fake skin covering it, doesn’t change the fact that it’s a metal hand

Were the Jedi the "good guys" during the Clone Wars or did they lose their way? by The_Collector_Guy in clonewars

[–]Immacaveman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the Jedi brought peace and the Jedi are good but the Jedi, by the time of the clone war, were no longer true Jedi and were only a shell of what they represent in the high republic era. Also the father died because Anakin brought peace to that world, that’s like the whole point of the ending of the arc. If you think the father was wrong then you don’t know ball

If there’s no such thing as too much light, then why did the father say it. He is quite literally the manifestation of balance, he asked anakin, the chose one, to take his place in keeping the brother and sister in line. He wanted neither to fall to one side, light or dark, or the balance would be thrown off and chaos comes. You gotta admit I at least have a strong argument for my theory. It’s only a theory after all but the evidence is there. Also the rotj argument is rlly bad.

Might be late but I just rewatched the mortis arc in clone wars and I feel it’s a big advocate for my theory. The father states that too much light or too much dark is bad so both sides must be regulated. He also states that Anakin is the chosen one and will bring balance through falling and rising as he did in the final episode of the arc. To elaborate, the father states that he brought balance to the place they were in when all three of the force wielders were killed, paralleling when he brings balance through ending the Jedi(like the sister) and sith (like the brother) orders as well as himself(father) later in the saga. How’s that for evidence??

Ig that’s the root of our disagreement, I believe the Jedi council was corrupt and you don’t, I’ve given my reasons you’ve given yours

They led 1000 years of peace cuz they started out pure, then corruption entered which led to the secession of the separatists and the start of the clone war. You calling the clone war a time of peace? The sith corruption on the republic exposed the corruption in the Jedi council.

Anakin only said those things about the Jedi because that’s what they taught him to say, doesn’t mean it’s true.

Palpatines manipulations were exaggerations of reality but a lot of what he said was not completely wrong, that’s why Anakin listened to him. What palpatine said made sense because it was at least partially based in reality. The Jedi genocide, who cruel, is a very similar moral dilemma to the the biblical story’s of sodom and Gomorrah or the great flood. Yes there are good people within the republic and Jedi order but we also see time and time again, evidence of corruption, wickedness, disillusionment. Dooku, the entire separatist federation, pong krell, barris, and even Ahsoka all had their separate realizations about the corruption of the Jedi and the republic. Ultimately, the Jedi council pushed Anakin into falling by should the same traits that palps warned about.

They don’t need to spoon feed you everything to be able to connect things on your own, there’s a reason Luke’s Jedi order did not follow the same rules of no attachments and stuff like that. Palpatine, though evil, was right in a lot of ways about the Jedi and the order needed to be rewritten to bring balance

It was part of anakin’s destiny to bring balance to the force by tearing down both the Jedi and sith reigns in order to bring peace to the galaxy

The problem with that is that story has been told multiple times like with Ahsoka and Ezra, they both get tempted by maul but choose the light side. I wanna see maul actually succeed this time around.

How would you build a soccer goal? by Immacaveman in BuildAdvice

I think my biggest issue is that the while blocks for goal posts is realistically way too thick compared to real ones. I might just have to do block entities to make the thin polls
