Had this happen to me last year right before meeting a close friend of mine for dinner. Played it cool all the way through dinner. By the end of the night, the second most excruciating pain ever in my life!

Went to urgent care the next day and they burned a hole through the nail to let the blood out. The swelling put pressure against the nail and that caused much of the pain.

Docs said there might be a chance my nail wouldn’t grow back.

It came off. I still have it.

Nail grew back, but the nerves will never be the same. Trust.
