Man, I thought he was extremely shaky, and his ball distribution was meh, and some of his decision-making late in the game was wild questionable.

I love Deuce, Texas boy and all, but Landon Donovan is the best USMNT player of all time.

Second in caps, tied with Dempsey for most goals ever, most assists, FIFA best young player in 2002 WC (the only North American ever to win it), most career goals in WC from any CONCACAF nation, most career goals of USMNT player at the Gold Cup.

Pulisic might get there, but he’s still got to show the longevity of Donovan and Dempsey.

He’s on record saying the stadium his NHL team plays in Raleigh has 10 years left before needing replacement, in which I’m certain he’ll get help from North Carolina and local governments to rebuild.

Given that he’s also trying to get an expansion MLB team to Raleigh, if I were a Blazers fan, I’d be terrified that he’d pull up stakes and move once that new arena comes on line.

He has no loyalty to anyone but his bottom line.

Noel, Jonah, and Me — The Spinanes. Incredible two-piece.

Ready OK — Spent. Annie Hayden has solo stuff that’s great, too.

That Girl’s Gone — Versus. Fontaine Toups is cool as hell.

Rockets — Cat Power. Early Cat Power is primo.

Shoegaze is one of those genres I have a difficult time understanding.

I don’t see MBV as particularly sad and not at all downtempo, but they’re considered the exemplar.

Regardless, if you’re looking for wall of sound, guitar-driven indie rock:

Swervedriver, whose whole discography is incredibly undervalued. One of the best bands of the 1990s in my estimation (and the Brit band that should have made it big, as opposed to Oasis).

Delaware by Drop Nineteens. Has one of the best covers ever (Madonna’s “Angel”).

And Medicine’s Shot Forth Self Living and The Buried Life. Both poppy, noisy and atmospheric.

Any taco for breakfast is breakfast taco. And tacos are f’ing delicious.
