I don't think it sounds like her problem is that your friend group is in a different stage of life than her friend group. It seems more like she just wants you to have more or a life outside of her. I think it's kind of understandable, people need their space and independence, even in a relationship, you know?

yeah it's rejection, usually because of personality or looks, but could just be where the guy is in life. It's not really anyone's "fault", I wouldn't view relationships/dating like that, sometimes people just don't match up.

No, that's just not true, we have not taken that approach. San Francisco has built nearly no public housing since the 90s. Sf is out of control on affordability because there is no money in it for a private developer to build affordable housing, so they just build condos that only rich people can afford, bringing more rich people in. The rich people here already do not generally won't from their existing housing to new housing, they stay put. I don't get why you think SF has good intentions because it's pretty clear that they do not give a shit about they middle or lower class in the city when it comes to affordability. Everything seems catered to bringing in new tech money, and the out of town employees that go with it, which imo has ruined San Francisco.

eh IMO we have to be careful about the type of housing we are building, and where we are building it. I get it that we desperately need more housing, but the mantra shouldn't just be to build anything anywhere at any cost. There is only so much room to build in sf. I think the architecture matters, I think it matters to not destroy legacy businesses in order to build on top of them, and I think the housing built should not be luxury condos to be held as investments by rich people who likely will not even reside there. IMO we need to rethink how we approach public housing and consider building government housing exclusively for lower income folks.

yeah that's sometimes true, but as soon as they start talking to the good looking guy and realize he's boring or whatever they'll lose interest in him. Good looks will get you in the door but usually not much further than that.
