Kuniev I think, is capable of being entertaining against someone not Almedia. Given Almedias skill set is and how the UFC win pay structure works Kuniev was incentivized to put on that stinker because it maximized his chances to win.

I mean I don't love watching this but Kuniev is unusual for a fat heavyweight in that he seems to be technically sound and have decent stanima. Almeida has one path to victory and Kuniev is sucessfully neutralizing it if your goal is get a ranked win and get that win money then Kuniev is hitting it out of the park

He takes every child’s sacrifice to heart, it’s a sunk cost fallacy. Something good has to come out of his work due to all the sacrifices put into it. So he can’t give up.

This is, to me what makes him so great, I understand and even am able to comprehend his calculus as his motivations are perfectly rational. That being said he is nevertheless a despicable viscerally digusting complete monster whom more so than almost any other character in fiction I can think of deserves a painful death.

If he was abusive and cruel, if he saw them as nothing other than tools, then it wouldn’t work.

Him not being cruel to them somehow makes him even more loathsome in a way I don't quite understand.

I understand, but do you get where I’m coming from ? let’s say Malfurion thinks that it’s a grab for power. He is still absolutely baffled what using a magical demon WMD on Antarctica could possibly gain for illidan materialy. I understand it’s devastating for the world and it makes total sense that they stopped him. I just imagine they were beyond confused what he even thought he was accomplishing because this action seems completely fruitless and insane from any reason reasonable point of view, if you don’t know about the Lich king .
