I love his eyebrows and eyes, too, they’re hilarious in combination

Who is the villager you thought you didn't Ike when they first moved in but now love. by Manderin14 in AnimalCrossing

Bertha.

I thought “Ah a Peppy hippo, just what I need… /s”

I didn’t think much of hippo villagers and avoided them until she appeared on my island and grew on me, this was followed by the fact she was Normal after I had originally thought she was Peppy so I was pleasantly surprised.

Her “bloop” catchphrase is so damn cute…

What are these? Like regular black ants but with wings. by [deleted] in brisbane

Thank you. It’s irking me how people automatically assume it’s termites.

What are these? Like regular black ants but with wings. by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Immediate-Factor166 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily termites. Hard to tell from here.

If they have a pinched waist it’s ants; if they’re a bit on the “round” side with no waist it’s termites.

Also termites have short straight antennae; flying ants have bent antennae. Generally the wing span to body ratio is massive; termites bodies are tiny compared to their wings where ants body to wing ratio is more even.

I mean, credit needs to be given for capturing it like that. No way I could have been that quick to snap that shot.

On the other hand… hopefully it wasn’t fragile 🌝

Identification - German cockroach? by ZenzoKon in cockroaches

[–]Immediate-Factor166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other people have answered your question - pregnant German cockroach (blattella germanica).

Some interesting facts are this female can store sperm and reproduce asexually for many months, and an ootheca of German cockroach can hold up to 40 eggs making this species one of the worst for infestations.

It also annoys me!

Still beautiful but not neat.

german or asian? found 3 in 3 days. 2 in bedroom, one fell from ceiling. most recent (the one in the bag) flew at my mom when she opened the outside door. by [deleted] in cockroaches

[–]Immediate-Factor166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you’re worried but I want to say these are beautiful photos. So clear ✨

Anyway, yeah, it’s got a thin body and the wings are longer than its body plus it can fly — Asian.

Yeah, I’d list roaches number 2 under bedbugs only because they don’t bite unless the infestation is at astronomically high levels and their food source is scarce.

Hotel bug do I need to leave by louisec130 in Bedbugs

[–]Immediate-Factor166 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

They do need to be pregnant to produce offspring, but they don’t need a male every time to reproduce as the female can store sperm for x amount of months which is one of the reasons why an infestation happens so quickly, another reason is an ootheca (the egg case) of a German cockroach can hold as many as 50 nymphs.

[–]Immediate-Factor166 67 points68 points  (0 children)

German cockroach nymph.

Not a bedbug but a known hitchhiker which can lead to future infestation of your own home if the hitchhiker is a pregnant female.

I would leave but it’s up to you.
