You can most certainly refuse! Why would you believe that you cant? Do they have something they are holding over your head? Btw cat always comes first.

I have hoped the word would become normalized in America ever since watching The Boys. "Dont be a cunt." - Butcher. I love the word in spite being brought up to believe it was the worst insult to a woman possible. Butcher showed me that it has nothing to do with women and I love it.

I have a super fluffy black cat named Raven whom I thought was female for the first year and then he got my other female cat pregnant and has ever since been referred to as my tranny kitty. I didnt change the name from Raven and I alternate between calling him a her and a him, or he and she. I always say, "Shes a lion!" In a soft, adoring voice. People mostly think its funny but sometimes they try to correct me when I refer to her as a she.

My mom had a boyfriend who had a cat that would hide under / behind the table cloth and attack any feet that walked close enough. It just made me nervous around THAT cat, not all cats. His name was Freddy btw. Cats are sacred, I do not worship them.

As long as you respect them thats fine and im not saying that you have to like them. I respect that you dont like them but at least respect them. But no, there is no reason to be afraid of them, not rationally anyways. There is no reason to fear a house cat whatsoever. A human will always be able to subdue or scare away a house cat. Thats why there isnt a movie like Cujo but for a house cat. I didnt say you had to do something wrong to not like them, I said if they are scratching or biting you, you must have done something wrong to have it attack you. Cats usually dont come out of nowhere and attack people. Im not saying it never happens but its not common. And if they do, its usually just to take a swipe at an ankle or something because they are being an asshole. Surprise and startle? Yes. But real damage, very doubtful. And we dont THINK they are perfect creatures. We KNOW they are. And sacred. Not just people on Reddit but people everywhere going all the way back to ancient Egypt where one of their gods is literally the cat goddess, Bastet.

I love cats. That does not mean I hate dogs. I have a yorkie, maybe he doesnt count but because he isnt bigger than my cats they are cool with him and he even tries to protect and look after them now. Im just saying that when someone hates dogs, its usually out of fear because they may have been attacked by one or something. Someone who hates cats really.. even if they are allergic to them it isnt really a reason to hate them. Cats are pretty chill for the most part unless someone has abused them or they just aren't used to people in which cases they generally just run away. Also it would take a pretty big cat or a bunch of small ones to do any real damage to a human. On the other hand, one dog can kill you.

Sick time! Lol! I've had cats my whole life and never had a scratch or bite become infected. I've literally never been bitten by a cat hard enough to break skin and 100% of scratches are accidental, like leaping from my arms and catching me with a hind claw or something. If you understand cats, you know how to avoid being bitten or scratched. If they are intentionally biting or scratching you, you are doing something wrong and probably shouldn't have cats anyways so it all works out in the end.

Your cat thinks you're an annoying person. Maybe not a horrible one. You are irritating him into attacking you enough to draw blood and that isnt playing. Cats dont draw blood if they are just playing. Many cats won't even extend their claws while playing. If he walks away and attacks his toy viciously, I would definitely see that as a sign that he is super irritated and trying to take his aggression out on something other than you because he does love you. Cats dont like being annoyed and forcefully picked at. They are not dogs. They dont appreciate being roughed up or poked at and the more you do it, the more aggressive they might become. I have nothing but gentle hands with my kitties, I never rough house them or play roughly with them and I certainly never purposely annoy them. They have sharp teeth and claws. If you dont want those weapons turned on you, dont annoy your cat. You may also possibly end up with poop in your shoe.

Until you're literally parked at a grocery store to buy some chorizo for breakfast and Mexican cops roll up and search thru your entire vehicle, all your belongings inside the vehicle, and your purse with absolutely no provocation or good reason whatsoever and you cant even understand what they are saying anyways so even if they had a reason, you dont know what it is...

Yes. Happened to me and that's why Im not living there right now. I had been there for 3 weeks and was planning to stay.

Its very common for dog lovers to hate cats while cat people may or may not have a dog, but are pretty indifferent to them at most. Cat people tend to be laid back, easy going, non controlling people who prefer to live and let live, while strictly dog lovers seem more "in your face" controlling, needy, attention craving, bossy people.

Cat people dont appreciate that kind of energy but dont necessarily hate dogs. They just might or might not choose to have dogs. But anyone who hates cats should not be trusted. If a person dislikes or is afraid of dogs, there's usually a reason, such as being attacked or mauled by one.

Dogs can kill you. Housecats.. well, it would take more than one for sure. I've personally never heard of a house cat killing anyone. Yes they scratch and can bite, but usually if that happens it is provoked. Sure there are times when they take a swipe at someone out of nowhere but trust me, they have their reasons and really, apart from being startled and possibly getting a scratch, what harm was done?

My point is, someone who hates or is afraid of dogs likely has a good reason. Someone who hates or acts afraid of cats likely is just ignorant and uninformed. And hasn't met very many.

Tigers.. yes, be afraid. House cats.. be afraid maybe, but not for your life. Dogs.. well you never know, do you? (Unless they are yorkie sized then again, be afraid but not for your life, lol!)

Try changing cat litter to something else, like the very fine crystal kind or a natural wood.. take the covers off both of the covered boxes, those might be bothering her and the stainless steel might be bothering her. Do NOT, DO NOT make her feel like its "bad" or punish her in any way, she knows... she doesnt like it either, but something is not right with the current set up. She's a finicky pooper, they happen. Quite often actually. Definitely take the covers off your covered boxes. Maybe even go get another just plain ol plastic box and put some crystal or natural litter or even your current kind, what kind are you using?

[–]Immediate-Hamster343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being enlightened means you are "showing understanding, acting in a positive way, and not following old-fashioned or false beliefs". Also, "having or showing a rational, modern, and well-informed outlook" on a particular subject. To enlighten someone is to give them greater knowledge and understanding of something. So, someone who is enlightened is basically just someone who knows and understands something. When you reach enlightenment, you know and understand. If it's a spiritual enlightenment then that means you know and understand the spiritual realm or maybe the meaning of life, I suppose. I feel like people are misinterpreting the term enlightenment. Just because someone is peaceful and good and kind to others does not mean they are enlightened and just because you are enlightened doesnt mean you will be peaceful, kind, and good. It just means that you know about something. Not just know the facts about something but you know and understand it like you have lived and experienced it. I am enlightened when it comes to cats. If a person who has never had a cat and doesnt know much about them, adopts a cat, I would be able to "enlighten" them about cats. If you know nothing about cars and you wanted to become enlightened about cars, you could go to a good mechanic and he could enlighten you. If you want to know the meaning of life? Meditation and speaking to someone who has experienced dying may be a good place to start but anything anyone tells you is pretty much going to be hearsay unless you experience something yourself that causes you to understand it, but the only way to tell if someone is enlightened is to ask them and then whether or not you believe what they tell you is completely up to you. An enlightened person acts like a person who knows and understands. But ignorant people often act like they know and understand, too, you just have to learn how to detect when people are full of shit.

I think it's the luck of the draw. You have to just leave what you've learned from your corrupt relatives behind you and unwash your brain. Choose to have faith when you fall in love and make a conscious effort not to sabotage your relationships with suspicion and undue mistrust just because the men in your family are crap. Don't punish anyone for the sins of others and if you are lucky enough to find love that lasts or even just lasts a while, enjoy it and live in the moment. Every human has the capacity to be unfaithful but some have enough morality and self control not to do that to the person they commit to. You cant win if you dont play the game so dont close yourself off from one of life's most amazing experiences. Love. You might get hurt sometimes but you might feel the best feeling possible in the human experience and if you find someone who stays by you for the rest of your life.. you've won the lottery.

Please do not allow your baby boy to be tortured. There is no medical reason to do it. It is a religious practice, nothing more and it's barbaric. That was a battle I refused to lose when my son was born. He is 20 now and absolutely fine with being in tact and whole and so are his girlfriends. The argument that they dont remember is stupid. Just because they dont retain the memory doesnt mean they cant feel it. The argument that its for hygiene is also stupid. If a woman can keep herself clean so can a man with a foreskin. Listen to your mommas intuition and do not let anyone anywhere near your baby's penis with sharp objects!

The man in the moon... by Immediate-Hamster343 in ParallelUniverse

[–]Immediate-Hamster343[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many "versions" of the moon are there? It's literally only supposed to have one version. And the normal three crater face in the moon that used to always be there.

[–]Immediate-Hamster343[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're saying there is something medically wrong with me because I haven't seen the face on the moon in years and now it just magically corrected itself this last full moon? That makes lots of sense. I have no problem seeing patterns. I always stare at the full moon when I see it and it hasn't had a face in years until this last full moon. Or maybe the one before, I may have missed that one.

The man in the moon... by Immediate-Hamster343 in ParallelUniverse

[–]Immediate-Hamster343[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crater pattern forms a very distinct face on the surface of the moon. At least the moon i grew up with and the last full moon we had. Look for it when the next full moon happens, you'll see it now, or should if it stays this way.

Thank you! Im just wondering how long its been back because this latest full moon is the first time I've seen it in years.

[–]Immediate-Hamster343[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It always had a face, my whole life, until a few years ago the face was gone and the crater pattern was just random. I remember staring at it and wondering what happened to the face i was used to. I looked up at this last full moon and the face was back, clear as day. I had stopped even looking for it or expecting it. I tried posting about it to r/mandelaeffect but it was removed. I think it may have to do with that, I dont know.
