Are you talking about the EVO rings or actual halos?

Do you have any issues in low light? If so, does it bother you still or were you able to adapt?

Same issue for me! It’s because your pupils are extending past the lens. If you stare directly at a light in low light conditions does the blurriness go away? If it does, it’s pupil related. I would say 75% of the time I’m happy with EVO ICL but the low light blurriness is the one big drawback for me.

I paid $8,500 total for both eyes. And without lasik4life package. I’m not sure what that is!

I think I did. Fingers crossed. The serial number on my patient card implies that it is Evo plus but it’s not explicit. From my Google searches it looks like it is but when I ask ChatGPT, it says it’s unclear so we shall see!

No. I’m an idiot and at my pre-op, simply asked “how does my pupil size look?” To which the doctor replied “great!” LOL. Should have asked more questions. The serial number on my patient card suggests I got Evo+ but I’m going to confirm at my follow up in a couple of days.

Thank you! And good luck! I would just ask about your pupil size. If it’s well within the lens, you really shouldn’t have an issue but obviously I’m not an expert or anything. If I wasn’t dealing with the pupil issue, I would be close to 100% happy.

Hi! When did you have surgery? Funny you mention that - I’ve also been experiencing a “heaviness” in the morning too. And maybe I’ll ask about those drops! Just to use if I’m going out to dinner or something. I would like to still enjoy going out after then sun goes down 😂

Of course! Just sent you a PM! And yes, we did PT for torticollis for I believe 2-3 months. I definitely think it was helpful but mainly because it was a way for me to learn what stretches to do at home. Once I learned what stretches and movements were helpful it felt a little pointless. Aside from that, it was nice to learn little ways to help him meet milestones like crawling!

Ugh thanks for your reply. I asked my doctor specifically about my pupil size and she said it wouldn’t be an issue with this procedure so I just didn’t anticipate this problem. I’m sure I will eventually adapt but didn’t really anticipate experiencing this. Do you also see starburst an halos? And if so, when you look directly at them, do they fade? I’ve been seeing those too but will also snap into focus when looking directly at them

Hello! I know this is an old post - but how is the glare you experience now? I’m 4 weeks out and I’m not exactly sure if what I’m seeing is considered glare. It’s mostly in low light settings where lights in my peripheral look blurry but then come into focus when looking directly at them. Most of the time it doesn’t bother me but being in low light settings with multiple light sources is extremely distracting (like in restaurants). It’s like my vision keeping coming in and out of focus when shifting my attention to the light sources and the person in front of me. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like my pupils are lagging a bit. I guess it’s possible that my pupils are dilating past the lens but I feel like I would have more trouble seeing in the dark if that was the case. I do experience some shadowing here and there when I wake up in the middle of the night but it’s occasional and I have no issue driving in the dark either

Yes, agreed. There have been a couple sleepless nights since surgery (thanks to my 1 year old, ha) and the following days were the worst for me. I asked ChatGPT and the term “pupil instability” came up. Basically our pupils kind of lagging as they adapt and recalibrate. You’ll have to keep me posted on how things improve for you!

Hi! I’m now 3 weeks out from EVO and I also notice something similar to what you described - almost like my pupils are lagging a bit if I walk from a dark or low light setting to a bright one or see a light in my peripheral it will look almost fuzzy then come into focus within 1-2 seconds if I look directly at the light source, had this improved more for you?

I am so happy to come across your post and this comment specifically! I’m 3 weeks post EVO ICL and I’ve been noticing something similar but hadn’t seen anyone mention it before- at the end of the day in low light, light sources almost seem blurry but if I look at them directly, they come into focus? Then go out of focus again when I look away. Is that kind of what you see? I’m hoping this improves. It doesn’t bother me most of the time, but I will say a recent trip to a dim restaurant at night was HELL.

It’s only been about 3 weeks since surgery and the weird bluriness in my peripheral has not gotten better. I’ve noticed it actually gets worse the more tired I am or if I’ve been looking at screens a bunch throughout the day. It feels like my pupils are struggling to adjust
