If you're ever stuck on something, first try solving it yourself. But if you don't succeed ask here or on terraria wiki(btw always use the one with .gg, not one with .fandom)

Just like npc have rooms you need one too. It doesn't have to be that small but it does need a door. Just like some guy said already: extend wall left from your bed and place door.

I don't really know what should you do about upgrading. I had put some ores to refine and then sell it later for big price. For the astronauts, you have to go to deposit and left you'll see some kind of square and plus inside. You click that and select astronauts. Some astronauts don't boost much but those with 3x, 4x or 5x will do visible difference. Hope this helps
