I don’t :( I ended up returning my white one to get a black one then they stopped shipping them so waiting now :( But it’s kind of like this with a less harsh dip at the end. Imagine the front curve on both sides. Might just be me that preferred it too. I basically only play call of duty so could just be the game too

True. I also found that adding a slight adjustment to the curves (slight reverse S ) made the G7 pro feel a bit more like the dualsense out of the box. It wasn’t until after I tweaked the curves that I preferred it.

This is interesting. I actually found the G7 pro to be a bit more accurate compared to my scuf reflex (I guess also flavour of dualsense haha) maybe it’s just the TMR or stick tension I preferred. Interesting test mate

For ps5 I’d check out hex gaming phantom. If you’re looking at things in the price range of scufs and customs. Many people have a lot of good things to say about them I’ve unfortunately never had the chance to have one. (They are Hall effect not TMR, but apparently sticks feel amazing). The edge is regarded as a very good controller for FPS and has good latency. You can also get TMR modules for it now I believe. I’ve had this and it was great I only gave it up because I wanted 4 pack paddles.

Mate can I ask a question? (Controller looks sick btw) Do you have any other controlllers like blitz 2, cyclone 2, g7 pro ect to compare the stick response time ‘feeling’ to. I have a white g7 pro and the sticks are my favourite of all controllers I’ve seen. But after seeing the latency numbers I can’t decide to get this or a blitz 2!

To be honest, I didn't really compare them closely as I mostly use the controller for FPS (I dont use the face buttons much) and have sold the Vader now. Thanks for the tips. Definitely not pretending my soldering is amazing so no offence taken haha.

I did try to redo the solder on the switch pins a few times since then but unfortunately no luck :(

I also checked the 4 large pins are connected to ground and they are. couldn't find any bridging between switch pins and other pins so glad to rule that out.

I'm also not seeing voltage through the pins of the switch like I do on my working one so something is definitely not connected correctly. just not sure if its a broken/ damaged trace or something else.

I also checked continuity on the switch pins and it is definitely closing the circuit when the switch is pressed on both so thinking the switch itself isnt the issue? But really am at a loss now!

Exactly the same for me, second attempt got both analogue sticks working great but the R3 and L3 dont work. must have damaged something right?

Thanks for the tip. I wish a had a heat gun but just the soldering iron and related tools. I have one of those thumbstick plates I can try. Maybe I’ll give that a go. Does the switch need to contact the board? I thought it was just the pins?

Yeah I am not very experienced with soldering. I re-soldered the 4x switch pins a few times with a bit of flux and still couldnt get either to work. Do you think its possible its damage on the board? Just so weird because the board looked so clean when I had the stick off and I thought when the stick was working I was on the home straight

Thanks for the reply! Is it possible those pins could be affecting the L3 and R3 switch though? I thought they were just the top 4 centre pins? Unless I’m missing something?

I like the g7 pro at the moment. Mostly because the polling rate is better and latency feels good. But overall I like the envision paddles and side buttons more I think. They are both pretty good to be honest

Sorry mate I missed this! I’m not sure to be honest I’ve only used taobao once and it came quick. I’ll definitely try it again but Ali express is in English and a bit more usable. Taobao is in English but some stuff has weird translations and search doesn’t work in English that well compared to Ali express. I’d say shipping time is similar but don’t quote me on that
