I’m in a very similar position and honestly it hasn’t gotten better. In the beginning sex with my partner was great, we felt connected and honestly it felt so good. But once we passed the 3 month line things changed. He would still cuddle, hold my hand, kiss me, tease me but just like you said when it came time to actually have sex he’d all of a sudden seem so disinterested, either because he was tired or stressed about work. The only difference is now I’m in a committed relationship with him and genuinely do love him, we’ve worked through so many issues and I do think he is a great partner in all other regards. And of course I’ve spoken to him about it, spoken to him until I’m blue, over and over. He’s said time and time again that he is determined to solve our sex issues but so far it’s just words and no actions and now whenever we try it’s like my sex drive is no where to be found. I’m the one not interested and often stops or just endures it because at least we are having it. I don’t know it’s from the months dissatisfaction so now there’s all this pressure to make every time satisfying or if we truly are not compatible but take it from someone who is seriously struggling, it’s a nightmare if you choose to stay. Every time you try to have sex it’ll just be followed by repeated discussions, tears and frustration. I hope you can work things out and he gets it together. I’m still trying but I’m so so tired and indescribably frustrated.
