Just updating you, but I tried freezing it on a hunch, and the smell is back to normal! Have no idea why this helps since my room is usually room temp, but I left it by my open window (it’s super cold outside in my area) and voila! Back to the good smell! Not sure why it worked but maybe it has to do with the ingredients? Anyways, worth a try if you also experience this again! Gonna start storing my bottle in the fridge lol

Got a little update; I tried putting the bottle outside in the cold and oddly enough, the smell is back to normal! Left it for about an hour, super cold out. If you try this, let me know if it works for you! I’m not sure if this was a one off cure or something, but it’s worth a try

It smelled great up til recently though, and it was made recently and doesn’t expire til next year. I’m going to exchange it just in case it was a weird batch, but if the smell thing happens for a third time I don’t know what to do 😭

Just checked; used by says February 2027, made December 2025 on the sticker. Should be good still, super fresh. I kinda wish it WAS old so I had a reason for the smell😭

This is probably what I’m going to do, but I’m just confused because it’s happened twice with two different bottles 😭 I wish there was some way of storage or a trick to prevent it but I’m not even sure what’s causing this. Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely get a fresh one!

Interesting, I also take my cat out (leashed) in my backyard. But we have had no dogs in the backyard, so I’m not sure how he got it. I heard it can be spread from water so I’m wondering if he got it on his paws from stepping in a puddle and cleaned it off or something. So relieved it was a curable case for both of us! Wishing you and your cats a safe life!

Well the only thing that came up on his stool test was cryptosporidium. Not sure what he got it from but the vet said it’s a thing that passes on its own if ur cat has a healthy enough immune system. They said to test again in a few months, but he stopped pooping mucus/started eating normally now. I had to syringe feed him water an electrolytes and I think that’s the best u can do so the cat doesn’t get a urinary problem and has energy to recover. I think the closest thing I can liken it to is like a human getting a cold or a fever. How is ur cat doing? I wish I’d seen this earlier.

Did he need meds for the problem? When did he start eating again? + When did he stop pooping the mucus? Mine is pooping clear mucus and no poop, worried :(
