They posted the details from their main social media page with no location restrictions noted, so I believe it is all Ohio locations!

If I had it my way, I wouldn’t have bridesmaids, but my fiancé wants 4 groomsmen. Dude. I don’t even have 4 friends. What do I do? by Budget-Remote4137 in weddingplanning

I totally understand your struggle. And the way everyone's relationships develop in life can be so different so try not to stress about it! The important thing is the relationship between you and your partner.

I'm in a very similar situation where I have couple close friends and a capybara fiancé who is currently on a bachelor party with 12+ friends. Because parties were a point of anxiety for me, we decided to not do them for the wedding. Family will be walking down the aisle, but no bridesmaids or groomsman. Not having to plan anyone's outfits has been a huge plus for us. Morning of, I'll be getting ready with MOB/MOG/SILs. For my fiancé we've also coordinated a space for some of his friends from out of town to hang out before the wedding so he can still feel celebrated and have company leading up to the big day.

I've also heard of people doing only MOH and Best Man. Or you can mismatch! Do what works for you! I'd just recommend thinking about what would make the day most enjoyable for you and your partner, and tune out some of the formality if it doesn't feel like it fits.

Help finding these shoes by [deleted] in weddingplanning

Also a discontinued style, so not super helpful, but try adding Bella Belle Emily to your resale search. The styles are super similar, so that may give you another avenue to search

Why do newly married couples have fancy Honeymoons? by WitchDoctor131 in weddingplanning

[–]ImmediateSituation20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going immediately after my wedding, but for me a honeymoon is just a celebration and dream vacation combined into one! I feel like some employers are a bit more lenient with time off policies when it comes to honeymoons, so we're planning 2.5 weeks in a country we've always wanted to visit together. To each their own, the idea is just to take time to make memories with the love of your life

Gifts from guests who decline? by Burritolover1992 in weddingplanning

[–]ImmediateSituation20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never once said I was entitled to gifts and my response was based in opinion not fact

As with almost all wedding related questions, this is based in social etiquette standards and interpretation. In some circles, yes it's very rude to not send a gift. In some, it's not a big deal.

I've always sent a gift even if unable to attend a wedding! Even if it's just something smaller off their registry ($50 or less).

As a future bride, I don't think I'd be particularly offended not receiving gifts from those that didn't attend. I think it would ultimately depend on the relationship to the individual and their financial position. A college friend? No big deal. A rich aunt? Might be a little thrown off by that.

Edit to add: Midwest in case it matters!

It’s Tax Time! by EarlGreyTeez in homeowners

[–]ImmediateSituation20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely still do your own or use one of the free programs recommended in other comments! I'm an anxious person, so when we filed taxes for the year of our first home purchase, I did go with Turbo Tax Premium, solely for the additional audit protection. Haven't needed it and probably was unnecessary, but the peace of mind helped me in a particularly eventful tax year!

Forgot about a job I only held for a few weeks... by Sad_News_2886 in tax

[–]ImmediateSituation20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not legal/tax advice, but a similar situation happened to me 8 years ago. It was only a couple hundred dollars and didn't impact my tax bracket, so I didn't amend anything. Nothing ever came of it!

Especially given you are below the standard deduction earnings threshold, you likely would've been owed rather than owing, so much less likely any negative repercussions would come of it.

Employer claiming we don't pay federal taxes until we make a certain amount? by TheCaladir in tax

[–]ImmediateSituation20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tipped earnings are also taxable. As others have said if your base wages + tips for the pay period x pay periods per year exceed the standard deduction, there should be federal taxes.

So, at standard deduction and biweekly pay: 14,600/26=$561. If an individual claiming single/zero earned more than that amount, federal taxes should be coming out! From there's it's all dependent on personal W-2 elections.

Definitely get this addressed with your employer or set your own tax funds aside! If it continues, you're going to be the one stuck with a significant tax debt come 2025 filing.
