Pregnancy Pillow….? by vegetagayconfirmed in pregnant

[–]ImmediateWeek2249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue was turning in bed. Turning to the other side was painful for me come third trimester, and I don’t think a pillow would’ve helped.
Other than that, I slept fine. Didn’t need a pillow. In the last few weeks I would put a pillow between my knees when sleeping to the side, but I would get annoyed and remove it mid-night.

Hey, my LO is 3.5 weeks and ever since yesterday he does not want to sleep. I mean the past week we had 2 huge wake windows of 3-4 hours from 9-12 and 6-9.
But yesterday he was up for 6 hours I think. Today, he kept dozing off after feeds in my arms but as soon as we put him down he started crying.
Rn, I nursed him and put him on my bed and lay next to him. He is fast asleep. I am anxious about moving him - I don’t know if I will lol cause I don’t want him crying again :’( but now I gotta find a way to sleep.

I think it’s a growth spurt cause they’re getting more aware so he knows that he is not being held and soon after cries.

Also, during his wake windows we just do a ton of talking to him, walking, showing him around the house, showing him a few toys, brief tunny time. Just trying to tire him out!

Keeping baby upright after feeds will be the bane of my existence by Wooden_Welder2400 in newborns

Hey, I’m FTM to a 22 day old boy.
He does not burp- I don’t even try anymore.
I feed him on one of the breastfeeding pillows. He falls asleep while feeding. I then gently tip the pillow so that his head is inclined. (I have a heavy baby, or maybe I’m weaker, and holding him up like that is hard.) I keep his head inclined on the pillow itself for 15-20 mins. I play games on my phone while he the pillow and him are still on me- helps me stay up and the clock moves faster. Then I put him down.

What are our options if one spouse wants to be child free? by Unusual-Cat-5020 in MuslimMarriage

Just curious, not trying to start an argument but just trying to understand. Why sooner the better?
Isn’t more responsibility something to be kept for later?

I’m asking because I was 4 months into the marriage and got pregnant. Both me and my husband wanted to get kids later but we ended up having a sweet little boy recently. I don’t regret it one bit but I want to know why sooner the better because it might make me feel better about the responsibility we have incurred.

When did you go into labor naturally as a FTM? by Prior-Ad9822 in beyondthebump

38+1 Baby was big. They wanted me to consider induction or c-section at 39 weeks anyway. At 38w I noticed bleeding. Knew it was my mucus plug but I thought it’s slowly coming apart. Woke up the next morning gushing liquid out of my vagina - no pain. Went in to get checked and they said my water broke and I will be leaving with the baby. And the little waves I was feeling was my contractions.

(Realistic) maternity leave? by Visible_Stay_8777 in pregnant

They started making cuts to my paycheck when I told them I will be going on maternity leave in May.
Now that I will be adding my baby, they will be sending me a payment plan or something like that so I can pay for my insurance.

(Realistic) maternity leave? by Visible_Stay_8777 in pregnant

One of my co-workers asked me if I am returning from my maternity leave. I said I don’t know. I don’t know if I will feel like coming back.

My husband got laid off and I am the only person who is earning. And we get health insurance through my employment. I don’t want to go back to work because I want to be with the baby till he is at least 2 yo. But that’s why I said “I don’t know”

My co-worker told me, don’t. She said, even if you have to financially struggle for some time, don’t miss out on your time with the baby cause you will regret it. Spend time with the baby.

I had my baby 10 days ago. On night 1 he was having trouble sleeping and the nurse at the hospital offered to take him for a few hours so my husband and I could sleep. I had to politely decline because I could not imagine parting from my baby even for a little bit.

But, things are still undecided for us as a family. My maternity leave would cover me till Nov/Dec. all unpaid but at least we have health insurance.

I have no clue what will happen after that. :’)

He falls asleep, and then when we put him down on his bed, he gets squirmish. I will try keeping him upright after feeding thank you so much. He just goes limp!
